    Ukraine

    inspired

    everyone

    who eard. These

    four

    leaders wereamong

    Ivan

    Gerasomovich

    Tsouman s the pastor

    olitve. He

    and is wife

    Nadia

    are

    pensioners.

    They have

    three

    c h i l d r e n and i

    ve

    grandchildren.

    Ivan once

    held

    a prestigious job

    as

    a n ^ a i r c r a f t engineer, but

    was

    removed rom

    t h a t

    job because of i s C h r i s t i a n f a i t h . For

    e a r s ,

    Ivan and

    adia

    were part of

    the

    underground

    church, which

    met

    n

    secret

    n the woods, r i n t

    ed

    l l e g a l

    Christian

    l i t e r a t u r e ,

    and

    risked

    much.

    Ivan i s

    also active

    in

    prison

    ministry.

    Genia AnatoUvich Fedayev

    s married and

    has

    a

    son and daughter. Genia was n a l c o h o l i c

    before

    he

    became

    a hristian. He

    s well educat

    ed, an

    e f f e c t i v e preacher, and s

    committed

    to

    evangelism. His prayer group began

    paying

    he could

    job.

    took the ideas

    and

    materials

    them and ailored them to i t their children.

    "Last year my mpression

    the Ukraine was

    o f e a l

    s p i r i t u a l depression. Everyone had

    a

    sad look on i s f a c e ; they seemed

    esigned

    to a

    hard

    way f i f e that would

    never

    change. Many

    faces

    looked the

    same

    h i s year, except

    for

    those

    whohadbecome hristians. They

    the

    over-the-countermedicines

    for them

    to take to

    Kherson.
