I have been placed on the Dean’s List for attaining a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during each academic term while at DePaul. The included Dean’s Award for Scholastic Excellence is a testament to my personal belief in academic excellence.

I am proficient in using Microsoft Office programs like Excel. I am also familiar with creative applications such as the GPS software, ArcGis.

I used excel to create and manage a budget for Pahellenic Recruitment

In GEO 241, I learned how to use ArcGIS to construct maps

To better my Spanish speaking skills, I participate in a language exchange program called Intercambrio, which is sponsored by DePaul’s Steans Center. Once a week, I work with ESL students at Universidad Popular in the Little Village.

AS a student employee for the International Studies Program, I systematized the office’s conference room library. I arranged the journals, books & DVDs on shelves and catalogued them so faculty and students could easily borrow the materials.

The binder I designed for checking out materials.

I believe details are vital when planning an

event. While managing Panhellenic

Recruitment 2009, I created a color-coded,

time specific Day-by-Day calendar.

I believe in giving back to my community, so during the summer of 2008, I regularly volunteered with an organization I cared about. I spent a few hours a week at the PAWS Chicago Animal Shelter to help with cleaning duties and animal care.

Throughout college, I have attended leadership development conferences and workshops to gain tips on how to be an effective leader. I have attended numerous events within both DePaul’s Student Life and Sorority Life Offices.

As Vice President of Recruitment, I wanted to improve the retention rate of the recruitment process. I developed a report that looked at the statistics of past recruitments as well as feasible changes.

In order to execute the changes and improve Sorority Recruitment, I relied on my fellow executive board members during the two week process. The statistics from this year’s recruitment show that we greatly exceeded our goal by increasing the number of women matched to 214.

I believe in philanthropic causes and often try to support them by raising money for different organizations.

One example of my enthusiasm for philanthropy is my yearly participation in Polar Plunge, a fundraiser for Special Olympics.

I also have helped the St. Vincent DePaul Center by donating the money I raised while campaigning for Miss DePaul to the organization’s after school programs.
