PROGRAM

Opportunity

The Elite Soccer program at Ocean Reef Senior High School follows a continuum of development

in line with the physical, mental and emotional well-being of the adolescent by focussing on the

individual and progressing to group/team interaction. The program is designed for those

advanced players who wish to enhance their skills whilst playing in a team of talented individuals.

Please note that students accepted into programs for Year 7 commit to continuing in the program

until the end of Year 10. Year 10 students may be selected to compete in the SingaCup

Tournament in Singapore.

Students can further their achievement in Soccer in Years 11 and 12 by enrolling in the Physical

Education Studies course which can be used towards their ATAR.

Ocean Reef Senior High School has seen significant achievements with both the junior and senior

teams winning multiple championships, as well as outstanding results against Specialist European

and Asian Soccer Schools in the SingaCup.

Selection

This course is open to both male and female students. Students selected will attend Ocean Reef

Senior High School on a full time basis and participate in the extensive curriculum offered at the

school. Entry into the course will be by invitation after a trial selection process. Continued

involvement in the program is reliant upon achievement in line with course expectations and

maintaining Good Standing in the school. Interested families are requested to complete the

special application form overleaf. Successful applicants will be notified after 3 June 2020.

Please be aware that students who are accepted into Elite Soccer will not participate in Physical Education.

Students are only able to trial once in Year 6.
