Government officials and priests were the top two classes next to the pharaohs.Priests were powerful because of religion.Next were the scribes.They were a respected position sociality.It took many years to be a scribe.Artisans were craftspeople like carpenters,metal-workers,painters,sculptures,and stone carvers.Artisans were highly skilled,but they had very low status.Pheasants were at the bottom of the list.They worked on land and had the most people in their class.
