Progress in technology and growing awareness that the Earth is not an inexhaustible source of energy and using the newest light sources, such as energy-saving LEDs, slowly become a reality. BRILUM domestic and architectural lighting
Popular equipment such as lamps and luminaires for home and garden, indoor and outdoor architectural luminaires is primarily supplied under the BRILUM brand. Domestic and garden lighting under BRILUM brand includes various families and a series of pending lamps, wall and ceiling, fl oor and table luminaires, designed for everyday use in home interiors, yards and gardens. A wide range of technological services
The off er of BRILUM and ELGO also includes a number of specialized technological services: surface mount (SMT) of electronic components, cutting and forming metal sheets, spot and joint-butt welding, production of refl ectors, housings, casings, molds, brackets, bases, processing of plastics by injection and extrusion, surface treatment paint coating and plating, powder painting, vacuum impregnation and brightening, gasket foaming directly on the fi nished detail, assembly of end products, production and repairing of tools, including stamping, milling, preparing injection molds and tools for bending and forming metal sheets, laboratory measurement services.
Modern technologies provide complex product processing even of the smallest detail. There is a possibility to produce the goods from the customers or manufacturers own material. The production process can be also based on the technical documentation supplied by the customer or developed by a team of engineers from ELGO L.I. and discussed with ordering party.

In harmony with law and environment
The Directive 2006/95/EEC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 December 2006 is connected with the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States in the fi eld of electrical equipment designed for voltage from 50V to 1000V alternating current or from 75V to 1500V direct current.
According to the Directive, electrical equip-ment can be introduced into the market if: it is safe and meets general requirements
of the Directive, it went through the procedure of Declara-
tion of Conformity, Declaration of Conformity was issued, it was properly marked with CE sign.
The product can be introduced into the mar-ket only in case if it is constructed according to good engineering practice. After installing of the product and using it properly it cannot endanger safety of the people and domestic animals.
Low Voltage Directive (LVD)
The Directive 2004/108/EEC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 Decem-ber 2004 deals with the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to electro- magnetic compatibility.Electromagnetic compatibility is described as the possibility of satisfactory work in its elec-tromagnetic environment without emitting electromagnetic waves which are not tole-rated by systems, installations and products present in this environment. The product must be also protected against electormagnetic waves and distortions.
Directive of Electromagnetic Conformity EMC
The Directive 2000/55/EEC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 Septem-ber 2000 is connected with the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to energetic effi ciency of ballasts. A ballast can be introduced into market only if total input power of circuit fl uorescent lamp ballast is smaller or equal to the total input power de-scribed in the Directive. The energetic quality of such circuit is defi ned by energetic effi ciency index (EEI). System EEI has 7 classes of effi ciency: A1, A2, A3 for electronic ballasts; B1, B2, C, D for magnetic (inductive) ballasts. Nowadays ballasts in C and D classes are not used, because of poor effi ciency.

The Directive 2002/95/EEC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 January 2003 deals with the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to limi-tations of some substances in electrical and electronic equipment which can negatively aff ect the environment. It is applied for elec-trical and electronic equipment designed for voltage less than 1000V alternating current and 1500V direct current. Following substances cannot be used in ma-nufactured and distributed products: lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl PBB, polybrominated diphenyl ether fl ame re-
tardants PBDE.The Directive describes exceptions from above presented rules.
Directive RoHS
The Bill of the Polish Parliament of 29 July 2005 on used electric and electronic equip-ment and the Product Bill of 11 May 2001 im-plement into Polish law requirements stated in EU Directive 2002/96/EEC. This Directive makes manufacturers and distributors of elec-tric equipment responsible for the recycling processes. The manufacturers and distributors can transfer these duties to special organisa-tions. Such organisations deal with the collec-ting and recycling of used electric equipment.

ADQUEN LED lighting system
The latest generation of extremely durable and ener-gy-effi cient light sources LED, which have been recen-tly in constant development. There is no other light source considered as greater technical innovation. LEDs are in many ways: functional, constructional and useful light sources, signifi cantly diff erent from those already known and used. The current stage and rate of progress enable their implementation in major ligh-ting applications, which seems to be a new task and great challenge for luminaire designers. Therefore, many manufacturers off er now luminaires based on LED technology. Generally, there are luminaires or se-ries of luminaires designed for one common purpose lighting one kind of object. Engineers from ELGO Lighting Industries approached LED technology and used light sources in much more complex way creating a unique and professional LED lighting system named ADQUEN. It consists of lumi-naires for various applications. The unique feature of ADQUEN system is that its off er is not limited to a small number of models with specifi c parameters imposed by the manufacturer. ADQUEN system let an investor make an independent and original selection of a combination of all most important features of fi xtures, according to his individual requirements. You can be a luminaire designer by using special compu-ter confi gurator, available on-line.

Flexible luminaire configuration not limited by the catalogue
Instead of a typical catalogue with a limited number of off ered models the investor gets a computer application. It allows him to confi gure a type of luminaire and its features by choosing eleven basic parameters. During the selection of luminaire parameters , its unique identifi cation code is generated.
System of the ADQUEN LED luminaires under ELGO brand is an innovative and unique concept in the world within which the off er is not limited to a small number of models of specifi c parameters imposed by the manufacturer. The basic idea is to release users creativity from the catalogue limits and to off er a customized version of luminaire. A wide range of scalable parameters provides a great variety of more than 2,000,000 available versions of ADQUEN luminaires.

Exactly what you need
Individual confi guration helps to match luminaires specifi c lighting purposes and requirements with its design. As a result of the whole process the customer receive clear presentation of all product parameters and its features. A generated identifi cation code allows the customer to prepare a detailed inquiry with chosen set of features of the luminaire. Luminaire can be manufactured within 48 hours after placing an order.
Eleven scalable parameters

Step I Selection of ADQUEN characteristics
Luminaire categoryChoosing the type of the luminaire is closely connected with a purpose it serves in the lighting. There are fi ve options:
road luminaire OU type,
industrial luminaire fl oodlight ON type,
industrial luminaire pendant OP type,
tunnel luminaire OT type,
luminaire for hybrid power systems OH type.
PowerThe power consumption of the luminaire can be selected from a wide range from 15 up to 300 watts, by every 1W.
LED typeADQUEN system uses only the most technologically advanced diodes of Power LED type. Currently, there is a possibility to choose from three kinds of diodes provided by Cree the manufacturer of ultra-modern light sources. These are XP-G, XP-E and XR-E.
Luminous flux of a single diodeAfter selecting the LEDs type, the value of luminous fl ux can be chosen from a range of diodes available on the market. Diff erent ranges of diodes have a specifi c luminous fl ux. Considering the types and selection, one can choose luminous fl ux value ranging from 67,2 lm to 139 lm.
A number of LEDs in the luminaireA single LED is a light source characterized by very high luminous effi cacy, but low power, and relatively low luminous fl ux. The value of the luminous fl ux must be improved by the use of multiple LEDs in a single luminaire. In the system of ADQUEN luminaires, it is possible to select the number of diodes in a single luminaire from 14 up to 147.
LEDs correlated colour temperatureVarious lighting purposes may require diff erent colours of light defi ned by a correlated colour temperature parameter. During conifguration of ADQUEN luminaire, one can choose from the following ranges of correlated colour temperature:
daylight, 5000 8300K,
neutral white, 3700 5000K,
warm white, 2600 3700K.
Type of optical systemThe fi nal light distribution curve of ADQUEN can be shaped by the selection of one from two types of lenses placed separately on each LED:
with symmetrical light distribution,
with asymmetrical light distribution.
Light distribution angle of the optical systemIn accordance with a predetermined type of optical system it is possible to defi ne the angle of light distribution more accurately:
asymmetrical light angle distribution 129 x 52,
asymmetrical light angle distribution 142 x 57,
symmetrical narrow light distribution angle of 15 25,
symmetrical medium light distribution angle of 30 45,
symmetrical wide light distribution angle of 50 70.
Type of power supply and controlElectronic power supply and control of ADQUEN luminaires can be chosen from three versions:
a basic version,
a version with a power switch,

LED panelThe main part of each luminaire of ADQUEN system is a fl at panel with LEDs. It is made of a special aluminium profi le, richly fi nned on the upper part. It is an eff ective heat sink for dissipating heat generated by the LEDs. Thanks to it, LED temperature is maintained at an optimal level. Consequently, maximum durability and effi ciency of LEDs is ensured. On the profi le inside the luminaire, there is a plate with LEDs equipped with lenses as their the optical system. The surface between the diodes is also covered with fl at, metal mask. The panel is hermetically closed with fl at tempered glass. The length of the profi le depends on a number of selected LEDs and it can be properly changed according to their number. Consequently, the length of the entire panel changes. The other parts of the luminaire are mounted at both ends of the LED panel. All connections of the parts of the luminaire are sealed with gaskets.
Optical lens systemLight distribution of ADQUEN luminaires system can be modulated by the selection of one from fi ve types of lenses:A the three types of lenses provide a symmetrical distribution of light in three diff erent ranges of angles,B the two types of lenses with the asymmetrical light distribution in two diff erent ranges of angles.

Power supply unitIn a chamber with a high degree of protection IP 66, there is a microprocessor power supply unit of high effi ciency. The power supply unit is equipped with the protection against short circuit, overload, overvoltage, over temperature protection and also active PFC function i.e. power factor correction system.
In addition, the power supply unit provides protection:
against short-circuit or spread of the diode, which enables further work of the luminaire even in the case of failure or short- circuit of one of the diodes,
thermal one with temperature sensor of every diode line. It reduces power of the luminaire in the case of exceeding temperature of 70C, because of unforeseen external reasons. Also, it cuts off power from the luminaire in the case of exceeding the temperature of 85C critical for operating of the diodes.
The power supply can perform automatic control during night time and work with twilight sensor as well as motion sensor. Thanks to the use of microprocessor power supply system, any cycle of luminaire operation can be confi gured.
ADQUEN luminaire of OH type intended for cooperation with hybrid power supply systems is equipped with DC / DC converter to ensure the stable operation of the LED light sources and their protection against damage.

1 Power supply unit with power reductionInside ADQUEN luminaires there are microprocessor power supply units of high effi ciency designed and manufactured in ELGO. They ensure the adjustment of the supplying voltage range from 10 to 100%. The power supply unit is equipped with the protection against: short circuit, overload, overvoltage, overheating and also with the active PFC function, i.e. power factor correction system. Special protection allows continuation of the work of the luminaire in case of failure or short circuit of a single diode and protects LEDs against overheating.

Mounting gripThe adjustable die-cast grip made of aluminium is situated at the back of the gear chamber. It enables installation of the luminaire on the pole or on extensions arm with the endings of diameter 42 60mm at the angle of 0 30 with the road surface.
The construction of the grip enables the smooth change of the inclination angle -5 / +15 on the vertical pole and -15 / +5 on the horizontal extension arm. The change of mounting method from the pole to the extension arm requires only a simple change in the position of the grip.
2 FilterFilter is located in the wall of chamber with supply and control units. It protects its elements inside against dirt absorption during the equalization of ambient and internal pressures. It takes place in the course of cooling of the luminaire and after it is switched off .
3 Easy and safe connectionThe special connector situated on supplying plug leaded from the gear chamber ensures easy and safe connection with mains supply.

Floodlights ON and tunnel luminaires OT of ADQUEN system are equipped with a universal arched bracket used to mount the luminaire to the surface. Bracket enables users to adjust the inclination angle of every 10 in the range from -90 to +90.
By selecting the appropriate luminaire features, including optical system and the method of mounting, ADQUEN, luminaires may be adapted to the specifi c purpose lighting road tunnels.
The ADQUEN system luminaires have a special connector situated on supplying plug leaded from the gear chamber. It ensures the easy and safe connection with mains supply.

ADQUEN luminaires of OH type are adapted to work with the hybrid power supply systems. They are equipped with DC power supply unit which feeds LEDs with direct current from batteries charged by energy from a photovoltaic panel and wind turbine. The power supply unit consists of modules connected in parallel. Each module supplies one strip which contains 9 LEDs. The failure of one module turns only one strip off , the other LEDs still work properly.
The option of suspended mounting in connection with other features allows ADQUEN to be used in high industrial interiors.
The system of pendant ADQUEN OP industrial luminaires is equipped with hooks for simple installation on four suspension cords or chains.

Hybrid lighting set
Hybrid lighting set is equipped with ADQUEN OH system luminaire with LEDs.
There are two renewable energy sources, the sun and wind which provide the power to supply the luminaire ADQUEN OH by means of photovoltaic panel and wind turbine. Due to the fact that the set work does not depend on electrical grid, SUNWIND can be a solution in places where installation of cable distribution lines is diffi cult or too expensive.

Elements of the system
Photovoltaic panelPhotovoltaic panel MWG-130I made for generating electrical power by converting solar power into electric power by means of photovoltaic cells of polycrystalline silicon.
The photovoltaic eff ect refers to process in which photons excite electrons into a high state of energy and evoke the movement of electric charges, as the result of such interaction the electrical potential diff erence occurs. The nominal power of panel used in SUNWIND is 130W and voltage 18V.
Wind power generatorWind power generator of FD1.5-0.3/10C type converts the wind energy into 12V AD electric energy. A turbine consists of three mounted blades forming the rotor of diameter of 1.38 m. The initial wind speed is 1.8m/s. The maximum power of 300W is achieved at wind speed of 10m/s. When wind speed exceeds 50m/s, a brake starts to work and stops turbine in order to avoid any damage.
Gel batteryGel battery with capacity 120Ah and rated voltage 12V accumulates energy generated by photovoltaic panel and wind turbine.
ControllerHKZ12B/A-22/20-TB Smart Type Wind solar Hybrid Street Lamp Controller transform the electric energy generated by the wind power generator and photovoltaic panel to ADQUEN OH road LED luminaire and battery.
Twilight sensorThe luminaire is switched on and off automatically by twilight sensor of 12V DC. SUNWIND is designed to maintenance-free operation in places where mains power supply is not possible.

Professional road luminaires
Street lighting or in general road lighting is one of the basic systems of infrastructure of urbanized are-as. Together with lighting of urban and suburban areas and architectural lighting, it plays an impor-tant role at creating their landscapes and image. In modern cities, road lighting: provides safety on the roads by improving visibili-
ty, which reduces the number of the accidents, contributes to the increase of citizens sense of
security on the roads thanks to the robbery and theft reduction,
provides comfort and creates nice atmosphere of city nightlife.
All the investments aiming at the outdoor lighting of urban areas, part of which is a road lighting, meet with very positive social response. Thanks to the improve-ment of aesthetics, inhabitants perceive their town and cities as being attractive, full of life and dyna-mic. Such places attract tourists and gain investors in a much faster rate. Therefore, inhabitants are proud of the places they live in and notice new ways of their growth.In recent years a huge step has been taken as far as road lighting is concerned. There are three reasons. Firstly, the development of energy saving light sour-ces and electronic supply systems. Secondly, the pro-gress in constructing reliable luminaries with optical systems which precisely and optimally form light di-stribution and fi nally the changes in methods of de-signing road lighting, all supported by standardizing documentation. Lamps based on LED technology are brand new and innovative elements in street lighting. They have changed the way of considering lighting equipment in terms of a unit consisting of a light so-urce and housing. LEDs durability and reliability make them permanent and integral part in the construction of the luminaire which does not need any changes wi-thin the whole exploitation cycle of a luminaire.
Professional road luminaires, including the newest LEDs luminaires ADQUEN OU and ADVISION as well as series of modern luminaires ACRON intended for high-pressure discharge lamps, together with two-compartment model ACRON 220 are on a very impor-tant position in the off er of ELGO lighting equipment.

Proper light distribution and high light effi ciency is guaranteed by aluminium pressed refl ector of the highest purity and processed with electrochemical treatment.
Construction
The body includes upper and lower part connected with steel clip. It is made of high pressure aluminium die-cast, powder painted and tightly closed by means of clip of aluminium alloy. A blockade with special locking in case of accidental closing, e.g. during maintenance services.
The upper body includes:
single-element pressed refl ector,
polyurethane gasket foamed on the edge,
clip made of aluminium, tightly closing the body of the luminaire.
The lower body includes:
cover or glass with polyurethane gasket foamed on the edge,
gear tray with complete control gear and lampholder,
fi lter enables the equalization of ambient and internal pressures without dirt absorption,
adjustable mounting grip enables smooth regulation of luminaire inclination angle relatively to the road surface.
Options
On request, ACRON 100 luminaires may be manufactured with: curved glass cover.
Detailed technical solutions in agreement with the manufacturer.
Mounting method
Installation on the pole of a diameter 42 60mm or on the extensions arm at the angle of 0 30.
Adjustable die-cast aluminium bracket that enables a smooth adjustment of luminaire inclination angle: by approx. 0 / -15 with vertical pole and approx. -10 / +5 with horizontal extension arm. On customers request additional adjustment of luminaire inclination angle is possible by approximately -15 / +5 with a horizontal extension arm.

Optical system
Electro-polished pressed refl ector of the highest purity aluminium.
Cover made of polycarbonate or tempered glass with polyurethane gasket foamed on the edge.
Refl ector connected and sealed permanently with a cover or glass, forming separated light source chamber in the body.
Light source lampholder embedded in the system of adjustment, tightly attached to chamber for the light source and easy to disassemble.
Electric gear
Complete control gear fi xed to the gear tray.
Magnetic or electronic ballast.
Power switch in luminaires marked with the letter R enables to reduce power consumption by approximately 40%.
Mounting method
Installation on the pole of a diameter 42 60mm or on the extensions arm at the angle of 0 30.
Adjustable die-cast aluminium holder that enables a smooth adjustment of luminaire inclination angle: by approx. 0 / -15 on the vertical pole and approx. -10 / +5 on the horizontal extension arm.
Lampholder mounted in a special mechanism that enables adjustment of light sources position vertically and horizontally, without removing the lamp and unsealing the chamber.

Two-compartment construction
The body includes upper and lower parts connected with steel clip. It is made of high pressure aluminium die-cast, powder painted and tightly closed by means of clip of aluminium alloy. A blockade with special locking in case of accidental closing, e.g. during maintenance services.
The upper body includes:
polyurethane gasket foamed on the edge,
clip made of aluminium, tightly closing the body of the luminaire.
The lower body includes:
light source compartment which consists of:
cover or glass with polyurethane gasket foamed on the edge,
one-part pressed refl ector made of aluminium,
lampholder, additionally sealed, mounted in the refl ector at the front of luminaire (on the opposite side than the control gear), a special mechanism enables its adjustment horizontally and vertically,
control gear compartment which consists of:
gear tray with complete control,
fi lter enables the equalization of ambient and internal pressures without dirt absorption,
steel handle for fi xing the luminaire on the pole or extension arm enables smooth adjustment of luminaires inclination angle in relation to the road surface.
