WHAT we did: Delivering healthy fruit

trays with a poem to each grade

WHY we did it: Show peers you can

replace unhealthy foods with healthy foods AND still have a tradition

We LEARNED: You can still have

parties and holidays and still have healthy fun treats

HEALTHY SNACZ FAIR WHAT we did:

Elgin Booth: “Try This Not That”

Whole Grains Facilitated by OHSU Nursing

Student- Nicole Stanford Our booth explained why

processed grains were unhealthy AND why whole grains are healthy.

WHY we did it: Taught our peers what

foods were healthy and what foods were unhealthy

We LEARNED: Food companies process

foods by taking off the outer healthy shell of the whole grain before they bag them.
