CARDIAC SURGERY AT DISTRICT HQ HOSPITAL, PUDUCHERRY Increasing demand for cardiac surgery(Bypass, valve

replacement & others)and lack of skilled manpower led to MOU between Health department and Life line Hospital, chennai on PPP mode.

100+ surgeries with 1% mortality performed at Govt. general hospital.

Rs. 1,30,000 paid for each surgery of which one third is returned to the hospital for infrastructure maintenance.

Screening of all newborns for pediatric cardiac diseases

at birth at Maternity hospital, Puducherry.

Wellness program for Healthy and fulfilling life. Screening & counselling for lifestyle diseases Yoga and movement Hall to integrate body and

Mind. Relaxation and rejunuvation centre-

Acupuncture, reiki, Tai chi. Health food restaurant – Ayurvedic thalis,

organic products, cooking classes. Health education in life style modification centre.

30 PLUS ADVANTAGE Aim : all people aged above 30 will be screened for DM, HTN in

a nearest govt facility Mode : - colloboration with novonordisk health foundation (PPP

mode) -every Tuesday and Friday screening done. screening card issued to all - diagnosed patients referred to higher centres and lifestyle

modification centre - Diabetic registry made and maintained - medicines issued based on advice of higher centre at

nearby PHC Till date more than 60% screened

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF PHC STAFF FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF NCD SCREENING

• Proper guidance for mobilization, Dressing for diabetic patients and follow up, Camp Arrangements and cleaning,

• IEC activities, poster presentation

• Ambulance maintenance

• Registration and updation of NCD Card and proper maintenance

• To attend NCD clinic and routine activities follow up to the Medical officer

• Eye camp and screening

• Investigation

• Details are put it into the computer(>30 yrs population) and update follow up screening

• NCD Screening schedule for date wise (indoor& outdoor) camps arrangements

PONDICHERRY MEDICAL RELIEF SOCIETY To provide financial assistance to patients-

economically weaker sections whose annual income is less than 1.5 lakh.

Maximum grant Rs. 2,50,000/-. Based on the estimate for treatment- 75% can be

released as advance. CGHS Package rates as communicated by GOI. MOU with the leading hospitals adjacent to each

region- Puducherry, Karaikal, Yanam and Mahe. Cashless basis. To be referred by Head of institution of the Govt.,

General Hospital in the four regions.

CONTRIBUTORY MEDICAL BENEFIT SCHEME FOR RETIRED EMPLOYEES OF GOVERNMENT FROM 01.05.17. Coverage for retired employees including spouse/

family pensioners (spouse of the deceased employee).

Employees to exercise their option for enrollment through DAT.

Coverage anywhere in India through TPA. DAT is authorised for recovery of insurance

premium(Rs. 3600+tax /annum) from their pension. Cashless medical coverage- maximum sum insured

Rs. 3,50,000/- for treatment under hospitalisation including pre-existing diseases and additional Rs. 50,000/- for six critical illness.
