BARCELONA PROVINCIAL COUNCIL AS SUPPORTING STRUCTURE OF THE COVENANT OF MAYORS

We did an analysis of the actions in the SEAPs to determine:

The type of the actions according to the size, localisation and density of the municipalities.

Priority actions.

Most feasible actions.

The actions that require higher investments.

At Barcelona province:

- 141 municipalities in the CoM

- 103 delivered SEAPs

Now it is time for the implementation!

Results of the investments according to population sections

• 60% of the total investment estimated is expected in cities with more than 50,000 inhabitants.

• Small municipalities have to do an effort/inhabitant much higher than large municipalities, 10 times more than a municipality of 20,000 to 50,000 inhab. In these municipalities the role of Barcelona Provincial Council is where is more needed.
