1. Who are you? (Name (add a meaningful descriptor of the same letter) Ex(s): Amazing Aaron, Lazy Larry, Stupendous Stephanie)***
2. What is your hometown?3. Pick a question out of the cup. 4. Answer the question, or if you don’t want to answer the question, put it back in and pick another one (you have the right to pass)5. Name that discipline! From what social science discipline does your question come? History? Economics? Geography? Civics? Culture?6. Name again!

Community Profile Assignment
Social Studies Now You will sign up to present one daily report this semester. On your
selected day, you will prepare and present a Social Studies Now report to the class. They include: A brief but detailed update on a significant current event (use various
news sources). Today in History (Commonwealth, Nation, AND World) Share some activity of interest available this week (or next) at JMU or
in the Harrisonburg area that is related to at least one of the five disciplines of social studies
Social Studies-themed children’s book (review the book for us) A moment of historical wonder. What would you have done if you were
there? Consider the impact of one of the historical events you shared above. What if it had never happened or if it had a different outcome?
