1 INTRODUCTION

Electrostar Pty Limited (referred to as Electrostar from this point forward) is primarily an Electrical Contracting Company, and is a market leader in the supply of Electrical services, maintenance, and equipment to the Rail Infrastructure Industry in Regional NSW, QLD and Victoria.

Electrostar is a privately owned Australian business with a team of specialist personnel employed who carry out a range of Electrical, Manual and Technical tasks to meet the needs of our Clients. The Electrostar team is committed to ensuring that the operational business and principal objectives are completed to the highest standards in a professional manner. Electrostar workers have access to the best technologies available in Australia today, and it is this advantage coupled with our commitment to the task outcomes that enables us to deliver high quality maintenance and electrical services to the rail industry.

We provide a comprehensive and diverse range of plant and equipment to meet the requirements of the tasks at hand. All plant / equipment is maintained to the highest specification, and operated by competent operators to ensure peak performance is maintained. Plant and equipment operations are supported by recurring maintenance, consumables and spare parts, to minimise the risk of breakdowns and the resulting potential loss time.

7 QUALITY, HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT

Electrostar is an ISO 9001 and AS/NZ 4801 Accredited Company (license Number Q0081). Committed to ensuring quality is considered in all Electrostar operations and business practices, and a structured HSE Management System is planned, developed, implemented, monitored, and reviewed. With risk management, quality and continuous improvement the key focus of the business operations.

8 INSURANCES

Electrostar is covered by $20,000,000 Public Liability Insurance, with all vehicles, plant, and equipment covered by the business insurance. Contract Works Insurance covers individual projects undertaken by Electrostar.

9 A BRIEF INSIGHT INTO ELECTROSTAR CAPABILITIES

9.1 HUNGRY HEAD

Electrostar was contracted to upgrade of Generator and Signalling Site at Hungry Head. This involved laying a concrete slab and shed to house the generator. Providing a more secure location while protecting the generator from the elements.

The existing Generator was exposed to the elements and mounted on wooden sleepers

The site upon completion, a standing testament to Electrostars high standards and t h e pride we take in our work. Upon completion of all Electrostar projects we strive to greatly improve the visual presentation of the site and ensure that the site is left in a secure state, with consideration given to ongoing maintenance requirements, access and the lowering of risks in the work environment.

9.2 TOGAR AND MURULLA CROSSING LOOP EXTENSIONS

New 51 Location at Togar

Relocation of Signal and Location at Togar to enable Earthworks

Post Testing and Replacement

Electrostar owns and operates our own Cherry Picker, with working at heights accredited operators who are also quilified in Pole Top Rescue.




9.3 MANGOOLA COAL MINE BALLOON LOOP CONSTRUCTION

Electrostar was contracted to provide Civil Works for the Mangoola Loop Project. This consisted of approximately 5 kilometers of pipe and pit construction as well as extensive Signal & Trackside Equipment Construction and Cable Hauling approximately 30 kilometers of Signalling & Power Cables.

9.4 A SNAPSHOT OF ELECTROSTAR PLANT AND EQUIPMENT

ES11 - PC40 Tracked Excavator equipped with various attachments, and fitted with dead man, roll over protection, audible alarms, flashing lights, safety notices, fire extinguishers, and Interlocks.

ES10 - PC30 Tracked Excavator equipped with various attachments, and fitted with dead man, roll over protection, audible alarms, flashing lights, fire extinguishers, safety notices and Interlocks.

ES09 - S130 Bobcat equipped with various attachments, including: posthole digger, cement mixer, slasher and an assortment of buckets. Fitted with dead man, emergency stops, roll over protection, audible alarms, flashing lights, safety notices and Interlocks.




ES14 - Vermeer Chain Trencher capable of trenching through a range of soil types, up to and including hard rock. Used to trench narrow trenches at varying depths, over long distances. Fitted with rollover protection, audible alarms, flashing lights, safety notices, fire extinguishers, guards and dead man.




HV213 - Vermeer Cable Roller used to haul and lay cable over large distances. Fitted with audible alarm, flashing lights, safety notices, fire extinguishers, interlocks and dead man.

All Electrostar Vermeer plant are geared to low speeds only capable of low speed movement, and automatically disengages once the operators foot is removed from the forward / reverse peddle.

HV213 - Vermeer Compactor used to compact soil when back filling open trenches. Fitted with audible alarm, flashing lights, safety notices, interlocks, fire extinguisher and dead man.




Electrostar has a range of Light, Medium and Heavy Vehicles used to transport personnel, plant, equipment, consumables and tools to and around site. All are fitted with audible alarms, flashing lights, e-stops, battery isolators, reversing cameras, seatbelts, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and safety signage.
