Learn how to use your fire extinguisher effectively. For your convenience, just remember PASS. P = pull its safety pin first. A = aim its nozzle at the very base of the fire. S = squeeze its handle. S = sweep its nozzle in a side-to-side motion until the fire’s successfully put out.

It is gravely recommended by fire-fighters that if there are no chances of fighting a fire, all there is to do is to get out of the house as quickly as possible, and call the fire department once you are already safe outside.
