• We use electrical devices every day. They change electrical energy into useful energy at the flick of a switch.

What is power?

• The energy we supply per second to a device is the power supplied to it.

• The more powerful a device, the faster the rate at which it transforms energy.

• 1 watt is a rate of transfer of energy of 1 joule per second (J/s)
