Rates should include for all necessary cable accessories such as cable ties, Cable Lugs, Glands, identification tags, and accessories All horizontal and vertical Cable trays should be adequately sized to provide 40% spare space.Contractor shall investigate the site conditions and include all the cost involved in point rates given below.

All materials, equipments, wiring and workmanship shall confirm to local codes of specifications, B.S Standards, latest I.E.E regulations (17th edition) and Ceylon Electricity Board specifications. Contractor shall investigate the site conditions before submitting their quote

Contractor shall obtain sample approvals from all the items used from CEE-SEC

Contractor shall propose shop drawings/conduit layouts drawings and obtained approval from CEE-SEC before commencing installation

Testing of the complete Electrical Installation and issuing a certificate by a chartered Electrical Engineer, registered with Ceylon Electricity Board.

Rates should include for all necessary cable accessories such as cable ties, Cable Lugs, Glands, identification tags, and accessories All horizontal and vertical Cable trays should be adequately sized to provide 40% spare space.Contractor shall investigate the site conditions and include all the cost involved in point rates given below.

All the Cables quoted below shall be on measure and pay basis. Rates shall include installation of Cable taryas,Cable Ladders, PVC trunking or conduits and accessories where required .

All Distribution Boards shall be flush/Surface mounted type Distribution Boards complete with powder coated 1.5 mm thick sheet steel enclosure with lockable doors.

The panel board should have wire numbering and a laminated circuit diagram pasted on the inside surface of the door.

Make of MCCBs and MCBs, etc shall be Merlin Gerin / ABB / Terasaki / Hager or equivalent make approved by the Electrical Engineer.

Manufactures soft drawings should be submitted and aproved by chief electrical engineer before fabrication.

Rate point wiring shall include for all the conduits, conduit fittings, casings,surface cable trunks, fixing material, switches, wiring and terminations, holders for light fittings and socket outlets for power points. Contractor shall obtain approvals from the Chief Electrical Engineer for above items. Aproved samples should be displayed at the site office.

As a standard of quality for switches and socket outlets, the contractor may use 'CLIPSAL/hager /mk or approved equal'.

Supply and Installation a light point, from the respective consumer unit using 2x1mm2 PVC/PVC/CU + 1.5mm2 PVC/cu(E) cable drawn through securely fixed concealed PVC conduit controlled by a 5A flush switch as shown in the drawings.

Supply and Installation a 15A single switched socket outlet fixed on wall, from the respective consumer unit using 2x2.5mm2 PVC/PVC/CU + 2.5mm2PVC/cu(E) cable drawn through securely fixed concealed PVC conduit shown in the drawings.

The light fittings supplied and installed under this contract shall be in every respect suitable for the intended purpose.

Each fitting shall include bulbs, internal wiring, hanging and fixing material and be complete without any additional item/material being required to make it so.

All control gear of light fittings such as choke, starters, PF Correction Capacitors shall be of European make

The contractor shall obtain consultants and clients approval for the fittings before fixing the fittings in the site
