Asanalternative,IEC60598-1AnnexQdescribesatestoftheelectricalstrengthwith1500VAC(or1.414x1500VDC).Toavoiddamagetotheelectronicdevicesthistestmustnotbeconducted.

Wiring type and cross sectionThewiringcanbesolidcablewithacrosssectionof0.5to0.75mm²forpushterminaland0.5mm²forIDCterminal.Forthepush-wireconnectionyouhavetostriptheinsulation(8–9mm).

Withstandardsolidwire0.5/0.75mm²thecapacitanceoftheleadis30–80pF/m.Thisvalueisinfluencedbythewaythewiringismade.Lampconnectionshouldbemadewithsymmetricalwiring.Hotleads(10,11,15,16)andcoldleads(12,13,14)shouldbeseparatedasmuchaspossible.Whenusingtwoormoredimmableballastsinoneluminairewithseparatedimmingcontrols,thelampleadsmustbekeptseparate.
Sensor wiresSensorwiresmustberoutedseparatelyfromthelampwiresandmainscablesotherwisethelightingcontrolsystemmaymalfunction.Ifseparateroutingisnotpossible(forreasonsofspace)shieldedlampwiresandmainscablesmustbeused.
