Learner centered pedagogy

• Strengthens the students’ orientation towards knowledge building, thinking and learning to learn skills.

• Change in the teacher’s role, emphasis on the activity of the learner and learner’s previous knowledge as the foundation for new learning

eLearning activities

• Reserve enough time -> writing takes more time than discussion (time for reflection!)

• Connect activities to each other. Final assignment combines learning during earlier activities, summarizes and deepens the learning.

• Activities may include interaction with the material, other learners or teacher/tutor

• Use different kinds of activities.

eLearning activity is the thread that runs through

everything1. Define a goal, learning process and

corresponding task.2. Slice the learner’s complete set of tasks

into 5-7 stages. Write which assignments are connected with the various stages, together with their outlines.

3. Prepare a comprehensive list of references including comments for yourself, from which you can bring suitable links for discussion as it progresses.
