Leopold Primary School Mission
At Leopold primary school, learning to know , learning to do, learning to be and learning to live together, equips our students with knowledge, skills and the disposition to actively embrace learning, leading all to become confident contributing members of both our school and the wider community
Thank you for coming to our You Can Do It /
Bully stoppers concert. Our community
provided us with a…. Place to Shine! Last
Friday night we conquered our fears and
took to the stage at Costa Hall. Thirty two
grade five students told our school
community about our school mantras and
themes!
Many Grade 5 students become actors and
provided our concert audience with a
linking story line.
Staff danced and sang to ‘Shake it off’,
while dressed in super hero outfits
(Learning powers )
Rappers, James, James, Seb and Lachlan
told a rap bully stopper story in verse.
At our last assembly we launched the new values. Our values are black and white – No grey in between. Respect Understanding and behaving appropriately towards others by giving consideration to what others think, say and do. Responsibility Taking ownership of our actions and the choices we make. Honesty Taking responsibility for being trustworthy, loyal, fair and sincere. Kindness Being friendly and caring towards others. We wish to send a huge thank you to Mrs Noreen Salt and Mr Tom Adair, two of our local citizens, who have assisted our school to amplify our values to our school community. Mrs Noreen Salt, a talented local artist, used her talents to create illustrations to support the text within the LPS values picture story books. The illustrations can be coloured in and personalised by our grades. Mr Tom Adair, a Leopold citizen and proud grandfather, designed and created the black and white cut out figures which now pop up in and around our school. The figures provide a constant reminder of the school values and are certainly fun to play with. In each newsletter we will describe the mantras and themes which guide our daily lives here at Leopold Primary School – Our
place to shine!
