compared to 38% Ventura County and 43% Statewide

20% (3,043) of the OUHSD EL student population are Newcomers

47% of all OUHSD students identified Spanish as their primary language

28% (4,306) of OUHSD EL students have been Reclassified as Fluent English Proficient

With the exception of ACHS, all school sites meet the ‘15% and Above’ Translation Needs

CELDT presentations to English Learners • Improve CELDT scores:

a)CELDT training for classroom teachersb) Teachers received CELDT test released questions to practice with students

prior to testing day. c) Teachers administered the CELDT to

their own students at every school site.• Awards Ceremony for CELDT and

reclassification, Pacifica High School.
