• El Calafate is located at a 3.000 km’distance from Buenos Aires, and 315 Km away from Río Gallegos, capital city of the proivince of Santa Cruz.

HOW TO ARRIVE THERE To arrive there you can choose between any of the roads

taking to Bahía Blanca or Río Colorado and continue to San Antonio Oeste, from where your only option will be to go on by National Road Nº 32.

If you want to go by plane, there’s an International Airpoirt in El Calafate, located at 22 km’s distance from our town. There are daily flights from Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, Bariloche and Trelew.

You can choose among different companies as Aerolíneas Argentinas and LADE.

• Ushuaia lies in the southern end of the Republic of Argentina, on the Isla Grande of Tierra del Fuego. Located on the Beagle Channel, it takes its name –which means “bay overlooking the west” from de yámana tongue. It is 3.048 Km from Buenos Aires.

• Within the impressive frame made up by the sea, the forests, the lakes and the mountains, Ushuaia is a picturesque city with important tourist services, infrastructure, and elegant commercial center and an increasing social and cultural activity.

• Tourists from all round the world visit Ushuaia every year, making it one of the most preferred destinations for vacations.

HOW TO GET THERE

• You may get there by car, from Río Grande along National Route Nº 3. You can cross the frontier to Chile through Paso San Sebastián, after you have come to the island by ferry boat.

• By plane: The International Airport Islas Malvinas, inaugurated in 1999, is the most common means of transport to get to the island of Tierra del Fuego.

• Different airlines connect Ushuaia with the rest of the world.
