for everyone’s birthday (as well as the day off) and drinks on Bite every Thursday, which has

gained the nick name ‘Thirsty Thursday’. We also host 3 company parties each year for

Biters to celebrate our birthday, summer and Christmas.” Says Dan Kersch

Work life balance is important to everyone at Bite and for this reason they promote a

number of initiates throughout the company.

From an outsider looking in, managing and on-boarding agency partners in EMEA, I asked a

key ‘Biter’ to provide some more information on working at Bite:

Andy Tomlinson – Senior Creative Whizz

What do you do?

“I am Senior Designer at Bite. I am responsible for designing and creating campaigns for

Bite’s full client range including websites, e-commerce, e-marketing, and anything else that

is online and digital. I make sure that our designs are highly usable and accessible to both

the end user and the client. My role involves liaising with clients and account managers on

briefings and presentations as well as ensuring that the final digital campaigns are to the

right specifications and to the highest standards.”

How long have you worked for Bite?

“I have been at Bite for roughly 9 months”

What gets you excited at work?

“The excitement at work can come from many places, the initial concept/visual for a project,

the briefing to the finished piece. It can vary from project to project, which in itself is

exciting.”

Favourite project in the last year and why?

“Being senior design I get to work on a wide range of projects at Bite, each one might be

created using a different medium. So sometimes I will do straight digital design, the next a

piece of animation. It’s actually hard to pick one piece. I am very happy with the outcome

for an EMEA wide event promotion and lead generation campaign we developed for

StorageCraft. This project was great in that I had the scope to design and create the whole

visual look and feel, from websites and email through to stand design and exhibition

animations. The client liked the designs so much she asked me to incorporate the look and

feel into different textiles for her to have in the office and at home! I'm currently working on

an animation for a new mobile phone product which when completed will be very nice.”

What are your best career accomplishments / achievements?

“So far in my career I have been lucky enough to work with and for some great companies,

who have all produced different styles and types of work. From film animation studios

through to digital marketing at Bite. This has provided a wide range of projects and skills

which have helped me reach the position of Senior Designer, this to me is my best

achievement so far. Next up Creative Director role!!”
