8th GRADE DANCE This Friday!
All 8th grade students are formally invited to this year’s dance, Hollywood Knights. The dance will be held in the school gymnasium on Friday, May 12, from 6:00-8:00. This is a special night for students and therefore we ask all to dress their “Hollywood” best. Boys dress code: Dress shirt and tie with dress slacks; no tuxedos. Girls dress code: A dress, skirt, or dress pants with a dressy top; no formals. All dresses must have straps, cover the midriff, and be at least finger-tip length. *Students who are not properly dressed will not be admitted to the dance. Only Beck Academy eighth grade students may attend the dance. Historically, students do not attend as couples; many come in groups. Remember, this is a dance, not a prom. Once the students enter the dance, they will not be allowed to leave without an adult. Anyone leaving the dance may not re-enter. The dance is free to attend. Parents may take pictures before students enter the building. Siblings of eighth graders may not attend the dance. Refreshments will be available at no cost to students. Students may not bring their own refreshments. We ask that students be dropped off in the back bus entrance and use our “Backstage Entrance” to the dance. If you are going to take pictures of your child, please do not park in the drop off lane. There is no cost for the dance; however, we need your help to make this night a success. Donations of food, water, monetary donations, and volunteers to set-up, serve food, and clean-up are all needed. Donations can made through our Sign Up Genius, which can be accessed through the below link or also through the Beck homepage. This is a very easy way to figure out how you'd like to assist. ALL donations need to be clearly marked with "8th Grade Dance" and dropped off at the front office. Hollywood Knights is sure to be a memorable night for all, but we must remind you that all school rules apply. Students who violate policy will be removed from the dance and the Greenville County Discipline Code will be enforced.
Put on your Hollywood best and join us for a night of FUN!!!

Staff Appreciation Week was a huge success!
The staff enjoyed special treats each day and felt our love and gratitude. We could not have made this week a success without help from the parents and volunteers. Thank you to everyone who made donations and volunteered their time to honor our fabulous staff.
