INTRODUCTION

Eire is the creation of four fashion industry natives who all shared a vision. the vision to mend the gap between high fashion & a sustainable future. the individuals shared a passion for sustainability & a desire to change the consumable fashion industry into a fully sustainable industry. Eire saw the wide space between the quality and trends of high fashion and accessible eco-friendly fashion. We realized that sustainable fashion consumers were spending top dollar to have both quality and trend,while remaining conscious and sustainable in their purchases. Our brand can make this a reality.

Our goal is to bridge the gap by providing thehighest quality designs and materials & remaining true to our beliefs of conscious consumerism. The creators of eire saw first hand the conscious amounts of textiles and fabrics being discarded, materials that would be sustainable resources for the fashion industry. EIRE is based in Ireland & sources all of it's fine organic merino wool from Ireland. Eire owns a re-furbished mill, which they have transformed not a truly green workspace.

With these looks you can style effortlessly for every occasion of the year from all of our sustainable looks e accessories. We firmly believe that quality is superior to quantity. We believe in investing in pieces that will leave a lasting impact on our environment. Through this book consumers will gain an in depth look to who eire is. We have provided styling tips e looks to help consumers re-use e re-purpose their wardrobe. These practices help advance consumer's fashion thinking, and lessen the is impact on the environment.

At Éire our mission goes beyond the needs and wants of our customers, but that of the world. our focus is to help not only our customers, but all consumers.

Our focus is beyond those involved in and with the brand, but rather the community around them. We have chosen to re-open defunct, workable factories, employing local workers, focusing to hire those in the elder community, who have been hand-knitting and embellishing their whole career, bringing them into the workforce once again.

OUR MATERIAL

MERINO WOOL is a natural, biodegradable and renewable fibre, making it the perfect choice for those seeking clothing that has a minimal impact on the environment.

For as long as humans have worn clothes, they have had a close relationship with wearing wool. Merino wool is composed of a natural protein that is biodegradable, similar to the protein found in human hair. When disposed of, Merino wool decomposes in soil in a matter of years, slowly releasing valuable nitrogen-based nutrients back into the earth, acting like a fertiliser. In contrast, synthetic fibres can be extremely slow to degrade.

Eire is an emerging design & manufacturing house based in rural Ireland. The brand specializes in knits, made from top quality sustainable wools, all locally sourced & made in house..

Our eco-concious focus revolves around not only the impact on our consumers, but all consumers. We strive to support our own community by helping to better communities all over the world.

Our focus extends beyond those involved in and with the brand. we focus on the community around us by re-opening defunct, workable factories. we transformed these factories into fully green workspaces. We employ local workers by focusing on the epxperience of the elder communit. Many of these employees have been hand-knitting and embellishing garments their whole lives. once again We are bringing them into the workforce..

Eire couture pieces are limited items which feature hand made embroideries and details done in house by local master craftsman. 20% of couture proceeds directly benefit these workers & the surrounding communities.

MEET EDEN MCCAREN

27 years old, lives in Dublin

Passions include interior design cooking, travel & higher art. Draws inspiration from nature, art, travels & her irish heritage. Masters degree in interior design, royal college of art.

Eden is the founder and owner of The Cork Factory, an upscale home decor & design boutique in the artistic South Bank district of Dublin.

Since graduating, Eden also works across Europe and Australia as an interior design guru & consultant.

GARMENT CARE

MERINO WOOL is one of the higher quality wools, and is made from merino sheep. Many garments such as sweaters, hats, scarves and mittens are made from this luxurious wool. You will want to wash your merino wool with care so it does not get ruined.Wash your merino wool by hand. Giving your wool a hand wash is recommended. It is the gentlest way to care for this fabric. Fill a basin with enough warm water to cover your garments. Add a mild detergent. You can use a merino wool wash or any other detergent that is gentle and made for delicate garments. Completely submerge your piece in the water and let it soak for 3 to 5 minutes. Rinse it with warm water to get the soap out. Do not twist or wring it to drain the water. Take the garment and squeeze it to get as much water out as possible. You can also lay it out on a towel and roll the garment in it so that the towel absorbs the water. Lay it flat on a dry towel or on a drying rack so that it can dry.
