EIP-AGRI Network Priorities in 2018
Fostering a thriving Agricultural Innovation System in the EU
Seminar: Upscaling OG results and learning from EIP-AGRI implementation Objective: • Capitalize on the results of OGs and learn from EIP implementation • Feed the discussion about the new CAP
Fostering a thriving Agricultural Innovation System in the EU
Communicating the digital transformation in agriculture
Digitisation Toolbox Objective: • Communicate the outcomes of past digitisation activities in a simple and
accessible way through several communication products

Communicating the digital transformation in agriculture
Workshop:
Access the digital transformation in agriculture: the role of AKIS
Objective: • Promote the communication of digitisation through Agricultural Knowledge
and Innovation Systems (esp. advisors and NRNs) and contribute to the development of the Digitisation Toolbox
• Feed the discussion about the new CAP

Communicating the digital transformation in agriculture
Seminar: Multi-level digital strategies for agriculture and rural areas Objective: • Promote multi-level strategic plans for digitisation in agriculture (and rural
areas) and raise awareness about the Digitisation Toolbox • Feed the discussion about the new CAP

Promoting innovation in managing natural resources and improving farm resilience
Workshop: Innovative water management in agriculture
• Bring together recent and current activities relating to innovation in water
management in agriculture, with special attention to water quality • Gather OGs working on water-related projects • Exchange information from different groups working on the topic (e.g. EIP
water, Commission Water Task-Force, ENRD Thematic Group, OECD... ) • Territorial approaches in agricultural water management and water quality
at landscape level (e.g. examples how farmers work together at catchment level with advisors' support)
Promoting innovation in managing natural resources and improving farm resilience
Focus Groups:
• Non-chemical weed management
• Protecting agricultural productions from
frost damage
• Anti Microbial Resistance in the poultry
sector

Strengthening agricultural value chains within a circular, decarbonised bio-economy
Focus Groups:
• New feed for livestock
• Reducing food loss on the farm
Strengthening agricultural value chains within a circular, decarbonised bio-economy
Workshop: Opportunities for farm diversification in the circular bio-economy • Diversification as a way of managing risks
• Strategies for optimising the use of biomass on
the farm, consistently with the farm size and type
• New uses of biomass from agricultural supply
chains;
• New products, new markets and related logistics
• involvement of new entrants
