 EH Key chart for identifying Insect Pests on monitoring sheets & floor plans. Major Insect Pests - please use the appropriate symbol given for adults (a) and X  for larvae (l). Colours – please use the appropriate colour description (given in brackets next to the coloured symbols) when adding the symbols to the floor plans. (When you position the mouse over the different colours in the colour box, the colour description appears so you’ll know you are using the right one). If many of them are found, try to make an approximate count. You can also record mouse fur found on traps or signs of mice eating traps in the ‘Others’ column. Any insect pests or frass which are found on floors or window ledges etc must be listed in the separate ‘Collected’ column worksheet. Please list against the relevant room or trap number nearest to where they were found otherwise add them on after trap

numbers and list the location where found - this is very important information we need.

The same applies with any quarantined collections.

Very important – we record moth pheromone lures used as ‘CBCM’ (Case Bearing

Clothes moth) and ‘WCM’ (Webbing Clothes Moth) against the appropriate trap

number ie. ‘CBCM 10’ or ‘WCM 20’. In the ‘Others’ column we record ‘pheromone

lure used’ and, if applicable, if it’s a low-dose one etc.
