be avoided. Know that you can't protect your children forever,and they're better off learning life's lessons sooner than later.

Reflect on your own childhood frequently. Identifymistakes your parents made, and make an effort toavoid passing them on to the next several generations.Every generation of parents/children gets to make a

whole set of new successes and/or mistakes.Listen to what your child has to say.Improve your child's social skills.
