Hand in hand with the shuttering systems the robot technology for precast concrete production is constantly being developed. High-est accuracy for positioning is required especially for shutterings with integrated magnets. With the Multi-Function-Shuttering-Ro-bot (MFSR) with innovative control by SAA we’ve set the standard in the field of precast. The patented gripper system is unmatched in speed and precision.

The well proven image processing software enables reliable re-moving of shutterings from the pallet even under worst conditions. Available either as standalone robot system or - highly feasible - in combination with the shuttering robot.

Flexible definition of collision-regions makes an optimal utilisation of the robot area and the optimization of robot-movements possi-ble and saves mechanics by an active collision detection. By using calibration tables and curves, we can even enhance the accuracy of the total system (palette, shutterings, robot) after mechani-cal procedures are exploited or fail because of wear. Moreover, by means of an automatic calibration algorithm precision can be checked and adjusted.

The SAA robot control supports all well known shuttering systems:• Magnets with U-profiles or magnets/magnet boxes as support

for special formwork.• Shutterings with integrated magnets• Shuttering systems for solid wall elements with or without con-

nection profiles including modular systems like Sommer SMS.• Tool exchange for setting of special magnets for built in parts,

gluing labels or oiling only the effectively used area.

The support of the shutterings is provided by combinations of sta-tionary magazines, moving „active” magazines or by using a sepa-rate storing robot for organizing shutterings. Shuttering transport, -cleaning and -identification are integral parts of the control solu-tion as well as the graphical interactive user interface for state visualization and error analysis.

The interface to the master computer system iTWO MES is obliga-tory, while also direct interfaces to third-party-systems and al-ternate solutions for similar branches (timber-production, steel manufacturing) are available.
