Preparing Your Presentation

• Think about the purpose and target audience – what is the key message and why is it important?

• FIRST, sketch out your ideas on paper – brainstorm, edit, sift through your ideas

• Use Post-Its to help structure & sequence your ideas, and identify the overall structure – this “birds-eye view” is very useful

• Finally, it’s time to create your presentation! Choose an application (e.g. PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.) and create the slides you have designed

• KEY! find relevant and potent images to illustrate your key points
