Electricity and Electronics Constructor Kits
The Electricity and Electronics Constructor EEC470 series is a structured practical training pro-
gramme comprising an unpowered construction deck (EEC470) and a set of educational kits.
Each kit contains a manual of student assignments
and a selection of components, supplied in a con-
ventional storage tray. EEC470 offers extremely ver-
satile facilities for the rapid and easy assembly of all
types of circuit, with provision for discrete compo-
nents, digital and analogue integrated circuits and
high power devices.
The robust, reliable circuit connectors incorporated
in the Constructor allow the user to assemble a cir-
cuit almost as quickly as it can be designed. The log-
ical layout of the components aids comprehension
of the theoretical principles involved. The EEC470
requires various d.c. and a.c. power supply inputs, all
of which can be provided by the Feedback PS445
power supply unit.
Several different kits are available, covering basic
electronics, amplifiers, power supplies and control of
machines making the EEC470 an ideal option for the
teaching of the subject from first principles. The only
test instruments required are those normally found in
electronics laboratories.
The kits available are as follows:
• EC471-2 Basic Electricity and Electronics
• EEC473-4 Amplifiers and Electronic Circuit
Applications
• EEC475 Power Supplies
• EEC476 Electronic Control of Machines
• EEC477 Optoelectronics
Features
• Designed for vocational and industrial training
• Rapid circuit construction
• Wide range of kits covering key subject areas
• Hands-on student assignments
• Simplifies the study of basic components and circuits
• Compact construction for easy use and storage
Each kit is housed in a storage tray containing:
• A set of discrete components appropriate to the course, plugged into the tray
• A shadow diagram of the components and identifying information
The kits are used with the EEC470 construction deck which provides all the necessary connect-
ing leads.

Electricity and Electronics Constructor Kits
The EEC470 series of Electricity and Electronics Constructor kits has been carefully designed
to provide a complete and thorough foundation course in electro-technology and basic
electronics.
Manual of Assignments / Student CoursewareManual of Assignments / Student CoursewareManual of Assignments / Student CoursewareManual of Assignments / Student Courseware
The course material is contained in the detailed and comprehensive manuals that accompany
each kit. Each manual is laid out in such a way that it can be used either in a group teaching situ-
ation or by individual students employing self-paced learning.
Particular emphasis is laid on the need for the students to discover the effects for themselves,
rather than just proving stated theory.
Assignments in the manuals contain, where applicable, sections under the following Assignments in the manuals contain, where applicable, sections under the following Assignments in the manuals contain, where applicable, sections under the following Assignments in the manuals contain, where applicable, sections under the following headings:headings:headings:headings:
• Objectives – Stating the educational aims of the assignments
• Introduction – Providing a brief lead-in to the topic
• Experimental Procedure – Two or three practical activities
• Practical Considerations and Applications – Relating the work studied to realistic applications

Construction Deck - EEC470
The deck allows all the circuits described in the
student assignment manuals to be built using the
supplied connecting leads and the components
provided in the individual kits.
