WORK HISTORY

2007 – 2015 Mines & Projects Pty Ltd

Mines & Projects Pty Ltd provides specialist consulting services in the following areas:

- Review of the technical and business case aspects of mining projects o Projects include large and small Iron Ore developments, Alumina, Coal,

Mineral Sands & Uranium Mines, in established & developing areas.- The use of Value Engineering to maximise the NPV of Projects

o Identification of cost drivers & levers to maximise the NPV of projects- Technical and project management input into feasibility studies.

o Studies include Mines, Railway and Port developments.o Pre feasibility studies including a large scale remote Iron Ore mines,

railways and Cape size ports of around 45 Mtpa in Africa- Working with Contract Mining companies to develop concepts to more

economically develop new mines.o Including a 25Mtpa iron ore mine has been constructed and very

successfully commissioned.- Review and recommending remedial action for projects which are in difficulties.- Development of operational organisation structures for projects

1990 – 2007 HAMERSLEY IRON Pty Ltd - PILBARA IRON Pty LtdProject Consultant – acting as Senior Project Manager, Commissioning Manager and Company’s Representative

Dampier Port Expansion – Senior Project Manager responsible for the development from the concept to the implementation & commissioning stage of a two stage $2 Bn expansion of an iron ore port from 70 to 140mtpa.

o The works included the replacement of an old 30 Mtpa facility with two new 50Mtpa systems, whilst maintaining record production levels.

The project included two 10,000tph rotary ore car dumper’s A 5 Mt capacity iron ore blending yard Dual ship loaders located on berths capable of simultaneously

berthing four Cape Size (250,000t) vessels.A feature of the project was that costs and schedule were bettered in a climate of fierce competition for construction resources and equipment.

The projects included 5 million man-hours without a lost time injury, and innovative modularization of equipment and wharf construction was used to reduce schedule, costs and construction hazards.
