Background
• Educational Satellite (EDUSAT) launched in September 2004
• Pilot Projects under EDUSAT - Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Maharastra
EDUSAT EXPECTED FUNCTIONS
• Video Conferencing• Radio Broadcast• TV Broadcast• Night downloading at Receiving end• Online Education through Internet• Telephone,Internet,Webcam as return feedback• Voice chat on internet
ISRO and USER Agencies
• ISRO to provide connectivity to school,colleges ,higher levels of education
• ISRO to demonstrate efficacy of the Satellite System
• USER agencies to develop content and effectively use the system
• Quality ad Quantity of the content determine the success of Edusat System
