Connect to the“faro-free” Wi-Fi

or any other network where you can access

is.mendelu.cz

Visit is.mendelu.cz in your internet browser

and continue to:“Log in to the Personal administration of UIS”

Log-in to the UIS with your

credentials

In the UIS, continue to the “Certificate for ‘eduroam’ wireless

network” in the Technology section

If you don’t have any valid certificates,

generate a new one. User certificate is valid

for 6 months

First of all, you will need to download “root certificate for

MS Windows”

Open the “root” certificate and follow

the next steps for installation details

Click on the “Install Certificate…” button

Continue asa “Current User”

Place certificate to the “Trusted Root Certification

Authorities” store

If you have changed “Certificate Store”,

continue to the next step

Click on the “Finish” button to complete installation process

In the last step, confirm installation

with the “Yes” button

The root certificate was successfully

imported. Now you will need to install

user certificate

To install user certificate, you will

need the installation password

Download and open “basic user certificate

for MS Windows”

Continue as a“Current User”

Use a default option and continue to the

next step

To install user certificate, you must

enter installation password

Place the certificate to the “Personal” store

If you have changed “Certificate Store”,

continue to the next step

Finish installation of the user certificate

The user certificate was successfully

imported. Now we can configure ‘eduroam’

Wi-Fi network

Try to connect to the ‘eduroam’ network

You will be prompted to enter username and

password. But you have configured MENDELU

certificates, so instead, click on the "Connect

using a certificate" option

Continue with "Connect" button, Windows 10

should configure ‘eduroam’ network

automatically without any interaction

You should be connected without any problems. If so, try to install the latest

updates
