MRS. WILSON’S SITUATION
Mrs. Wilson is an enthusiastic teacher who
uses a variety of technology tools in the
delivery of her lesson. However she found
that even though she prepared well for a
particular class using a wall chart and video
presentation only four (4) of the twenty-four
(24) students were actively particularly in
the lesson.
MRS. WILSON’S SITUATION
The other students did not pay much
attention. Some were clearly bored
while many of them were observed
fanning with their exercise books.
SUGGEST THREE LIKELY REASON FOR THIS RESPONSE FROM THE STUDENTS
The chart wasn’t appealing or captivating
The classroom was too hot
The video quality was poor
The chart wasn’t appealing or captivating
Prepare a chart (that is colorful with pictures) that will
stimulate students’ interest and cater to their cognitive level.
.
PROPOSE A TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTION FOR EACH OF THE REASONS
The classroom was too hot
In order to resolve the issue of heat in the
classroom an air conditioning unit or
wall/standing fans can be used to provide a
cool environment so that students can be
more comfortable
PROPOSE A TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTION FOR EACH OF THE
REASONS
The video quality was poor
A video of better quality: better sound and clear
visual can be used.

Subject : Information Technology
Grade: 7
Topic: Input Devices
SELECT A TOPIC FOR WHICH YOU COULD USE BOTH TOOLS TO
DEVELOP/TEACH
OBJECTIVES
Specific objectives:
At the end of the lesson students should
be able to:
Identify at least three input devices
within the classroom by sight.
Manipulate these indentified devices
EXPLAIN, THEN DEMONSTRATE (USING THE APPROPRIATE TOOLS THAT YOU HAVE DESIGNED) HOW YOU WOULD
TEACH A DIVERSE GROUP OF LEARNERS
DIVERSE LEARNERS
As we know the classroom consist of
students with diverse learning abilities.
As facilitators it is critical that lessons
are prepared in order to cater for all
the learning styles within the
classroom.
Within the classroom you can find the
following learning styles:
Audio learners
Visual learners
Kinesthetic learners
DIVERSE LEARNERS

visual learning styles of the students
within the classroom.
The video was presented in a colourful
format using animations and pictures
covering the content of the topic.
WALL CHART PRESENTATION
The wall chart catered for the visual
learners of the classroom as colourful
pictures were displayed covering the
content of the lesson.
HANDS ON ACTIVITY
