    The School of Education (SOE) at the University ofNorth Carolina at Chapel Hill, a leading researchuniversity, seeks an exemplary scholar in learningsciences whose research is grounded in cognitivepsychology, educational psychology, developmentalpsychology, social psychology, educationaltechnology, mathematics or science.     Applicants should have an outstanding record of research ina field related to experience-based cognition and learning(e.g., situated learning, problem-based learning, andcomputer-supported learning), and strong expertise incutting-edge research design and methodologies for theirfield.     The Department of Medical Education is seeking a faculty

    member to provide leadership for research and assessment in

    medical education with a special focus on graduate (resident)

    medical education. This is a full-time tenure-track position with

    rank and salary commensurate with the individuals education and

    experience.

    We are seeking a faculty member with a strong focus on

    educational research, innovation, and development to join a

    dynamic team of physician and social scientist colleagues to

    address a wide range of foundational questions about education in

    medicine and to foster research and scholarship productivity

    within this community. Specific responsibilities include, but are

    not limited to:

    Conducting research in significant issues related to graduate

    medical education

    Providing leadership in the development of programs and

    educational assessments that enhance the quality of the medical

    education programs at the University of Michigan

    Contributing to a rich community of educational practitioners

    To qualify for the position, applicants must have:
