The School of Education (SOE) at the University ofNorth Carolina at Chapel Hill, a leading researchuniversity, seeks an exemplary scholar in learningsciences whose research is grounded in cognitivepsychology, educational psychology, developmentalpsychology, social psychology, educationaltechnology, mathematics or science. EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH ANDASSESSMENT RELATED TO MEDICINE

The Department of Medical Education is seeking a faculty

member to provide leadership for research and assessment in

medical education with a special focus on graduate (resident)

medical education. This is a full-time tenure-track position with

rank and salary commensurate with the individuals education and

experience.

We are seeking a faculty member with a strong focus on

educational research, innovation, and development to join a

dynamic team of physician and social scientist colleagues to

address a wide range of foundational questions about education in

medicine and to foster research and scholarship productivity

within this community. Specific responsibilities include, but are

not limited to:

Conducting research in significant issues related to graduate

medical education

Providing leadership in the development of programs and

educational assessments that enhance the quality of the medical

education programs at the University of Michigan

Contributing to a rich community of educational practitioners

and scholars through faculty development, consultation, and

collaboration

To qualify for the position, applicants must have:

A terminal degree (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D.) in a relevant social or

behavioral science discipline (e.g., education, psychology, public

health)

Scholarly professional experience demonstrated through

previous research and innovation in education with a publication

record in peer-reviewed scholarly journals

principles of assessment and to designing and implementing

research projects
