EducationIndustryLublin is one of the largest and the most internationalised academic centres in Poland. Education determines the city's image and is a driving force for Lublin's economy.
The city's educational infrastructure is highly recognised in terms of quality and of adjusting itself to residents' needs, starting from preschool level. The high schools, including technical ones, are top ranked in Poland. The variety of faculties available in nine higher-education institutions employing a dozen or so thousand people is highly recognised. Moreover, students constitute 1/5th of the entire population. They jointly create the large education services customer base, contributing to the development of enterprises for other sectors operating in this thriving student city.
Lublin uses its academic character and directly translate it into economic growth. Vocational schools and universities educate future employees for priority sectors in Lublin. Higher-education institutions establish their own labora-tories and innovation centres which, at the same time, are R&D facilities for companies located in Lublin. Thousands of students fuel the development of services and the creative and cultural industries, and the increasing number of international students contributes to the beneficial exchange of ideas and cultural diusion.
