Reference Sheet: Sharing Your Google Documents This reference sheet will lead you through the process of submiing a Google Document to TaskStream. You will be asked to submit Google Docs for your Argumentative Essay and your Reflection Write-Ups. Step 1. Complete your assignment in Google Docs. When you feel ready to submit it, click on the Share buon. Step 2. Click on the Advanced link in the pop-up window to bring up advanced options. Step 3. In the advanced options, click on the Change… link to set the sharing options for your document. Step 4. Click on the “On - Anyone with the link” option, which will allow me to view your document. Your document will only be viewable with the direct link. 1

Reference Sheet: Sharing Your Google Documents

This reference sheet will lead you through the process of submitting a Google Document toTaskStream. You will be asked to submit Google Docs for your Argumentative Essay and yourReflection Write-Ups.

Step 1. Complete your assignment in Google Docs. When you feel ready to submit it, click on

the Share button.

Step 2. Click on the Advanced link in the pop-up window to bring up advanced options.

Step 3. In the advanced options, click on the Change… link to set the sharing options for yourdocument.

Step 4. Click on the “On - Anyonewith the link” option, whichwill allowme to view your document.Your document will only be viewable with the direct link.

Step 5. Next to the “Access” option, select “Can comment” so that I will be able to provide directcomments as necessary right on your document.

Step 6. Click on the Save button to return to the main sharing options.

Step 7. Check to make sure that you see the following on your screen. If you do not, click onChange… and repeat steps 4-6.

Step 8. Copy the big long link by clicking on it and then pressing [Ctrl]-[C] (or [Cmd]-[C] ona Mac) or by clicking on the link with the right mouse button and selecting “Copy.”

Step 9. Click on the Done button to be returned to your document and to save all the changesto the permissions.

Step 10. Now log in to TaskStream andmake yourway to our class. From the list of assignmentson the left, click on the Argument Paper link or the link for what you are submitting.

Step 11. Click on the Links button to add your link.

Step 12. Type in an appropriate name for you link, and then paste ( [Ctrl]-[V], [Cmd]-[V], orright-click and “Paste” from the menu) your link into the “Website URL” box. Once the

link is in, click on the Test button to make sure that the link works. When you are sure it

works, click on the Add Link button to add your link.

Step 13. A reminder will pop up to let you know that you have not yet submitted your work: go

ahead and click on the OK button. If you are adding another link, click on the Add Linkbutton and repeat Step 12. If you are ready to submit, then click on the Submit Work button.If you are submitting more than one link, make sure that all of your links have been entered.

Step 14. Another reminder will pop up. If you are absolutely certain that you are ready, go

ahead and click on the Yes - Submit MyWork button.

Step 15. A confirmation will pop up to let you know that your work has been submitted. That'sit! You have successfully submitted a link to a Google Document.
