Editor’s note This January 1990 issue is the first bimonthly issue of Marine Policy. Now entering its fourteenth volume, Marine Policy has for many years been established as the leading international journal of ocean affairs. An ever increasing number of articles are submitted to the journal each month and, even after our stringent review process, a proportionally larger number of high quality papers are recommended for publication. This has put great pressure on space in Marine Policy’s four annual issues and has had a detrimental effect on the time lag between acceptance and publication of articles. To remedy this situation and to provide readers with even more information on current developments in ocean affairs, Marine Policy will now be published six times a year - in January, March, May, July, September and November. The resultant 50% increase in pagination will also provide greater scope for feature issues on specific ocean- related topics, and will enable us to expand the journal’s unique review section, thereby keeping readers better informed about relevant recent developments. Bimonthly publication is a positive response to the steadily growing supply of well researched and well written papers and the concomitant increase in demand for high quality articles on all aspects of marine policy. Editor’s note

This January 1990 issue is the first bimonthly issue of Marine Policy.

Bimonthly publication is a positive response to the steadily growing supply of well researched and well written papers and the concomitant increase in demand for high quality articles on all aspects of marine

policy.
