ProductionGroup products are manufactured in France, italy andJapan.
The facilities in Reyrieux (France) and Gallarate (Italy)cover a total surface of 82,000 sq.m. approximately50,000 sq.m. of which is roofed.
Each site’s production capacity is optimized to satisfy ourclients and reduce delivery times to a minimum. Each product is subjected to a very specific control and totests by highly-developed machines supervised by theProduct Quality department.
Research and DevelopmentThe Engineering and Design departments and the TestLaboratories in France and Italy, to develop new pro-ducts using the most advanced technologies providingcomfort to people and being environmentally friendly.
Sustainable DevelopmentOur objective is to always offer more products and sys-tems which allow the reduction of power consumption(both fossil fuels and electrical power) as well theemission of greenhouse gas. The CE marking, which was created as part of European legislation, permits the free movementof manufactured products throughout the EEC, and constitutes a guarantee of product safety andinstallation.
THE EUROPEAN SPECIFICATIONS AND DIRECTIVES
The product ranges presented in this catalogue have the“CE” label. This indicates that they comply with:
• the Electromagnetic Compatibility directive 89/336 CEE,amended by 92/31/CEE and 93/68/CEE
• the Low Voltage directive 73/23/CEE, amended by93/68/CEE
• the Pressure Equipment directive no. 97/23/CE.
• The directive on Energy Consumption of Air Conditionersfor Domestic Use no. 92/75/CEE-2002/31/CE (StandardEN 14511). This directive concerns direct expansiondevices with a cooling capacity under 12 kW. She is designed to provide a very clear classification of devicesaccording to their energy efficiency (from "A = economicaldevice" to "G = uneconomical device"), with the purposeof economizing the electricity consumed in the EuropeanCommunity, and generally to give the consumer moreinformation (on noise levels, etc.).
Products in this catalogue currently meet two newEuropean directives, according to generally acceptedinterpretations:
• Directive WEEE/DEEE (2002/96/EC) regulates domesticelectrical waste recycling
• Directive ROHS (2002/95/EC) regulates the removal ofsome harmful substances from electrical and electroniccomponents.
For finished products sold in France and concerned by theDirective for waste from electrical and electronic equip-ment, since 15.11.06., the ‘Eco-Participation’ Tax is speci-fied on estimates, acknowledgement of receipt of ordersand invoices.

It goes without saying that air conditioning has to meet human requirements in matters of thermal comfort, health and acoustic comfort. All customers are looking for the quietest machine; the difficulty is how to compare the "noiselevels" provided by the makers.
The noise level of a machine is defined by two measurements:
COMPUTER PROGRAMMES : SOFTWAREAND UTILITIES
MULTISET : Gauging software for Multiset and Miniset DC Inverter,Technibel’s VRF systems.
AQUASET : Selection software for water chilled terminal units, chillersand heat pumps.
PHR-Conso calculates and compares the cost-effectiveness of heat pumpsystems with fossil fuel systems for domestic underfloor hea-ting / cooling applications.
PHRT-Relève calculates heat pump dimensions inboiler overhaul applications and estimates the savings generated.
Sound poweran objective measure made in accordancewith standards in force under nominaloperating conditions. This is a characte-ristic of the machine.The comparison of the sound power forequivalent machines (similar in type andpower) is strongly recommended beforetaking any decision.
As the number of decibels obtained doesnot correspond to the noise experiencedwhen the apparatus is installed in a livingenvironment (flat, office, shop, etc.), eachmanufacturer use to calculate and to providea sound pressure value.
Sound pressureis calculated on the basis of sound poweraccording to the following formula: Lp = Lw + 10 x log [(Q/4 x π x d2) + (4/R)]. Thisis not a characteristic of the machine, but theresult of a calculation.The calculation formula takes into accountthe capacity of the elements situated aroundthe machine to reflect and absorb sound.Sound pressure is an estimated value. It doesnot therefore commit Technibel to any specificfinal result.
Furthermore, results will differ accordingto the distance between the apparatusand the point of measurement. Technibelindicates sound pressure at the following distances:- at 2 m for indoor units (Direct Expansion
range and Water range); many manu-facturers give this measurement at 4 m,thus obtaining a lower sound pressurevalue
- at 4 m in unenclosed space for outdoorunits
- at 10 m in unenclosed space for chilledwater units

to their requirements and solve their problems under themost favourable technical and financial conditions. As a manufacturer, our duty is to assist you in achievingthese objectives by proposing a range of qualifying andrecognised training courses.
The training courses we offer can also be specific to ourproducts, enabling you to gain a better understanding ofthe equipment you are working with, as well as moregeneral topics, designed to improve the performance ofyour team members in their everyday working lives.
All the training courses are conducted on the latest generation equipment; R407C and R410A split systems, mono- andmulti-split, R407C and R410A heat pumps, DRV inverters, etc.
Every training course is the subject of a training agreement and the ward of a certificate at the end of the course, provided that the pupil has attended the full course.
