U 9 GIRLS 6-1 WIN
Another great win from the girls this week against Kellyville Red. We were 5-0 up at half time and ended up winning 6-
1!
Abbey and Amalija were strong in defense as usual, with Aria and Sienna controlling the midfield pushing the ball
forward for Zaria and Jess who scored a couple goals each. Alyssa was untroubled in goals the first half and had a
great game. The girls had tired legs in the second half but kept going and finished strong with a great win. It was a great team effort with some excellent passing by all the
girls. All the girls covered for each other on the field with great defending and attacking plays throughout the game.
Fantastic effort by the girls this week especially playing the game with no reserves! Well done girls, keep it up!
U 9 BROWN
3 games down so far this season with a win, loss and draw.
The boys rallied really well last sat against the undefeated
Kellyville (blk). Trailing 1-0 most of the game they cleared
the ball from their own penalty box and went length of
field in 4 passes before Jake banged the ball in the bottom
left corner to level game with 5 secs to go. Outstanding
team effort .
Thanx Brian Shelley (coach).
UNDER 10/3
Under 10/3 played toongabbie. Lost 3-8. Boys played well
without their coach (bedridden with a knee injury )
12/1 won 7-0 v Auburn District
Another good win this week to back up last weeks 7-0 win. The boys started well again and were quickly out to a lead
with a goal to Oscar, a goal to Jackson and a well taken penalty by Ethan, and then another goal to Richie to close
out the half 4-0. Second half goals to Richie, Jackson and Cameron D got us
our 7-0 win. While we love scoring goals, the pleasing aspect is we have kept our opposition scoreless two weeks straight now. Jer-emy in goals and our backs in Owen, Kal, Luke and Edward, while having limited chances, have kept out everything and are playing great and following instruction. Ethan, Cooper
and new recruit Cameron F have been holding the midfield allowing nothing for our opposition and creating many as-
sists for the boys up front. Cameron D, Richie, Oscar and Jackson have taken ad-
vantage of the assistance and finishing off with some great goals. Hopefully the boys can continue the way they are
playing and they will go a long way in this comp.
UNDER 15/1’S VS AUBURN
RESULT 0-3 LOSS This week’s game was against the Comp favourites Auburn and the boys had trained hard for it and came prepared for
a tough match. Some morning showers and back to the 8:30 timeslot didn’t allow for the best football to be played
but both teams went at it early. Auburn scored from a long range speccy and the boys were
a bit shocked. Pendo pushed and created a couple of chances but Auburn defended well showing why they will
be hard to beat again this year. The second hall was pretty hectic with Pendo chasing the
equaliser. Our game suffered and the passing was a bit scratchy in the conditions.
Auburn scored a nice free kick and a third with a good run from the winger. Pendo hung in well but couldn’t crack the
Auburn defence. The boys played well but realise what level they need to be at to win this year’s comp. They need to keep up the effort at training and on game day to stay in touch with the lead-
ers. Adam

Match Reports Round 3
13/3WHT With five players away enjoying the school holidays, it was going to require a huge effort from our guys but they sure did provide it! It took a while to adjust being two short on the field, and we let in two goals in the first five minutes. It wasn't looking good for us and it seemed that the score against us was going to be double figures as Winston Hills kept the ball forward pressuring us. An awesome save from Athavan sparked us up and we then better adjusted to being outnumbered as Mukund and Aryan combined to move through and around their defence, well supported by Chitvan in a great attacking move. We found our rhythm in attack and defence, as Piraveen blocked up the mid-field for us so they couldn't attack straight down.
We worked the ball back into our attack zone, a fine pass to Yash running onto it led to a shot on goal but their keeper did well. Thomas was committed in defence on the left, hassling their attack then he won the ball and displayed good footwork with an attacking pass. We were doing a lot of running, covering their attack to still keep them at only two up. Superb timing from Dylan tack-led the ball off their attack and he got a fast pass through their numbers to Mithren on the right who then ran fast up the line to get our attack going again. Chitvan showed huge determination in attacking, linking with Aryan who used his footwork to get through them before finding Mukund in great position to continue the attack. It led to us winning a free kick about 25m out. Yash lined it up, they had their wall set, and we had our guys ready for a header or to boot it in but they weren't needed. A perfectly weighted kick went over their wall and over their keeper, just under the crossbar and slammed into the back of the net! It was nearly halftime and we were only one down, all due to the supreme effort our guys put in. Winston Hills tried to get two clear again, attacking in the final minutes of the half but Athavan made a couple of awesome saves and our defensive trio of Dylan, Thomas and Mithren worked tirelessly to keep them out. Half time and the effects showed. Aryan was cramping up in his legs and Chitvan was nearly physically sick, but 5 mins later they were back on the field going at it again! We had Athavan out of goal so his fresh legs could do some running for us and that's what he did alright, leading the attack up the field. Piraveen supported well, getting into good position on the follow through to receive the ball and making an awesome move up the field. Chitvan displayed his keeping skills, saving some good shots from going in. Ten minutes in and we were still only one down, but then the fatigue hit us, letting in three goals in quick succession. Great work from Thomas on the left covering two players, Dylan in the centre covering their strikers and Mithren on the right tracking two oth-ers, kept them scoreless for the rest of the match. They were well assisted by Yash, moving back to help out and also linking with our attack. Aryan, Mukund and Athavan put plenty of pressure on them but their numbers had us covered. Well done on a fantastic effort guys!

U 13/4 vs Toongabbie
11-0 WIN Good comeback by a determined under 13/4's side after
losing our previous game we came back well winning away at Toongabie white with a Emphatic 11-0 margin.
I am very pleased to see the commitment from the team.
Shaunak in goal maintained a clean sheet which was a good effort helped by a defensive unit very compact with Krishan, shakti,Lachlan,Kartik and Nathan.very responsible
defence.
Midfield is where we dominated it with Ben, Sarah,Daniel and Jimit all demonstrating good ball control and distribu-
tion.
Jerald scored 5 goals with Krishant with 4 and ryan chip-ping in with 2 goals.Tejas inspite of injury helped setting up
a few goal
Good comeback and we will improve as the season pro-gresses.
Thanks
Coach Sandeep
Under 18/1s vs Wenty Waratahs
4-1 WIN
It was set to be a game of two halves with a howling wind
blowing down the ground. With the wind at our backs Tom
got us the perfect start with a ripper free kick from miles
out which fell into the top corner of goals. We had plenty
of possession but couldn’t add to our score in that
half. Nick & Tom & Parth were super busy in the mid-
field. Kartik hit the cross bar with a rocket. But we went to
the break a bit worried that our 1 nil lead might not be
enough knowing we had the fight the gale in the second
half.
In the end, we played better and better the longer the
game went on. Ryan C doubled our score with a short
range shot, and was on the scoreboard again to finish a
long movement down the corridor which Ben & Parth set
up beautifully. Our defence looked solid with Scott & Sam
& Chris cleaning up well and Jack was very busy in the 2nd
half. The only blemish was a Wenty goal from nothing re-
ally but we didn’t let it dent our momentum. We looked
best when we kept the ball on the deck and moved it
around with one touch triangle passes before putting our
foot on the gas. Big effort today from Lachlan & Parth &
Ben & Tom & Nick. The icing on the cake was a beautifully
constructed goal to Josh set up by Lachlan & Nick. It was
all done and dusted in the blink of an eye.
An encouraging win and it showed that we are the form
team in the second tier of this comp.

Match Reports Round 3
Under 18/1s vs Rouse Hill - 09/04/16 - Round 2 0-9 Loss
A reality check this week against a real Division 1 team. This year will have plenty of ups and downs as it is a mixture of Divisions 1 & 2 & 3 from last year. The ball control skills of Rouse Hill were breath-taking at times.
Their triangle passing game was textbook stuff. Too often they had multiple unmarked players available to pass to. So they created plenty of chances. To our credit the score didn’t blow out to a cricket score. On my count, Jack saved 23 shots on goal so the damage could have been much worse. Sam threw himself around in the last line of defence. Scott & Josh & Cameron chased down everything. Parth had a busy game in the mids as usu-al. Ryan C played with plenty of aggression and had a couple of near chances. We welcomed Lachlan into the
team for his first game with us and he had a calming influence wherever he was positioned. It was difficult to stay positive as the score mounted, and the boys coped differently with the onslaught. But
well done to those who kept at it till the end and didn’t drop their heads. Today was a tough day at the office but we never know what is around the corner.
Under 18/1s vs Merrylands (White) - 02/04/16 - Round 1 2-0 Win
A great start to the season for this new look team. It was good to blow away the cobwebs and get to know each other’s game. Playing a full 90 minutes in the hot sun took its toll and there were a few niggling injuries and
cramps to deal with. Still the boys put in the effort and got the points. The first half was scoreless but we had a few chances. Parth thundered one shot into the crossbar and Ryan C & Nick & Ben all had decent shots on
goal. At the other end Jack was super safe in goals and Sam & Scott & Josh & Lavan scrambled to limit Merry-land’s chances. The ball didn’t spend much time in the mid field because it was usually vacant and the ball was
often travelling from one end to the other. That meant that Cameron & Ryan S & Kartik & Ben had to react quickly and put in the hard yards to run up and down the pitch.
Nick broke the deadlock 10 minutes into the 2nd half with a sublime shot from a tight angle that just snuck in-side the far post. 1- nil up and it was well deserved. And then 20 minutes later Ryan C unselfishly cut a ball
back in for Nick to punch home our second goal. Quality stuff. The rest of the game was a series of injury stop-pages as tired bodies wilted in the heat. But we had to switch on for the last 5 minutes when Merrylands rallied
and it took a solid save from Jack on the final whistle to secure a clean sheet. There’s plenty to work on; crisper passing, directing our headers to advantage; using the width of the park; pa-tience in working our triangle passes up the field; and general fitness. We also need to make sure our aggres-sion doesn’t cross the line into yellow card territory. But it was nice to kick off the season with a satisfying win
against the premiers from year. Well done boys.

Pendle Hill 5 def Kellyville 0
While the coach left us girls to fend for ourselves we
played a 10 player Kellyville today side today and the 5-0
win result was not a pretty one but probably a reflection of
the game. A big thanks to Greg for helping out today.

Round 3 Pendle Hill vs Auburn District.
Reserves - loss 2-6 (goals James Tabone, Aidan Kelly)
Firsts - loss 1-4 (goal Shane McGowan)
They day started well enough when your writer, the coach,
discovered that it was a home game instead of an away
fixture, saving himself a drive to Auburn, but just like the
weather, things soon deteriorated.
Again the squad was stretched to the limit and unfortu-
nately this time round we came unstuck. The effort was
there but the ability to play to instructions, to keep up the
communication and to complete the basics, was all absent
in crucial stages of the game and one of the better teams
we’ve met so far hurt us as consequence. Almost all the
goals we let in were soft and indeed some were very
soft. We also managed to concede another penalty which
we cannot afford to do.
While a good portion of the squad put in a good shift, oth-
ers were below par. Whether it’s a lack of form, the loss of
confidence, (or even the loss of the right boot such was the
standard of poor play at times), I’m not sure, but we know
as a team we have a lot of work to do to remain competi-
tive.
P/L cont...
What we did produce, for decent periods of time too, was
good enough to compete with any team in the comp. We
just need to remain composed with the ball and get more
ruthless without it.
Aidan’s goal was a cracker and so his mini streak of scoring
from the back half of the field continues. Quite remarkable
really so well done mate and yeah, keep it up!
There was a big crowd out at Bino that afternoon and it
was shame we couldn’t come through with the goods but
we’ll get a chance to redeem ourselves soon enough.
U10/GIRLS A great performance today by the U10 girls saw them win
there first ever game 6-4. Brilliant start with Maddie Mates scoring a great goal. The rest of the team played superbly with some sharp passing and great defence. With other
great goals by Charli, Maddie Brown, Adelaide and one of the greatest goals ever seen taking it all the way by Saman-tha Edwards saw the girls hang on for a great victory. The
improvement in this side is fantastic and a very exciting start to the year.

Saturday 23rd April 2016 - Round 3 Match Report 45/1’s Lidcombe Waratahs vs Pendle Hill. 2-0 Win
Today we had our first win in a game that was played in very good spirit against a team we haven’t meet for a few years. It was good to see Macca and company again. We had a few away today due to other commitments and injuries. Out this week were “Molly”, “Anthony”, “Toey” with “Macca” and “Sparkles” injured. News had got around that the Marquee had been elevated to the bench due to injuries to Macca and Sparkles. This resulted in traffic jams on the M4 and difficult for anyone trying to get to the game to get a good spot to see the legend strut his stuff (unfortunately they were very disappointed as he had trouble getting a run – who listens to their coach?). Everyone enjoyed the game today as we weren’t being crunched in tackles and had time to play. We kept our shape most of the time although we could have use the width more several times and tended to use the right side of the field more than the left. Spider has a shot which is just over the bar. Perry chips the ball into their penalty area but we don ’t have anyone running on to it and their keeper gathers the ball easily. Empty is running his legs off and, although smaller than his marker, is giving their defence some problems. Taxi has another shot which goes straight to their keeper. Taxi wins the ball by reading the game well and passes a great through ball to Empty who is through in a one on one with their keeper. He shoots and the keeper saves but only manages to parry it out straight back to Empty who slots it home for our first goal. 1-0 to the Mighty 45’s and a well-deserved goal on our first half efforts. We have a happy half time talk and we just need to do more of the same. The second half starts and immediately we are under attack with Perry having to make a saving clearance; perhaps we were a tad relaxed? This warning fired us back into action and we started to play better with balls to feet and some precision passing. Taxi’s and the Maestro’s vision was on display for all to see. Carbon had to come off due to his goggles taking on water and condensation. Carbon even managed to pass a ball down the line much to his delight. You know you are playing well when this sort of event occurs – well done Carbon. Sponge, Shawky, the Hobo and the Doc made some good runs done the flanks of the field. The Gover-nor was his usual solid self with only a couple of passes to the opposition. Hammo made some good passes although a few times he held the ball too long or tried to beat players when the pass the way he was facing was the better option. The Hobo made a good run down the right wing and with their keeper diving at his feet he chips it over to an unmarked Turn who buries it into an empty net for our second. The crowd went wild as the Celtic Highlander was on the score board. 2-0 and we are coasting. With the game wrapped up and seven minutes to play the Marquee was due for a run but unfortunately some of his team mates must have had water in their ears as they didn’t appear to hear their coach’s instructions to come off!!! The Marquee’s man of the match was the Mullet who’s all round solid keeping display protected us all day. In second place on the day was the Maestro with Taxi in third place both giving good displays of vision, anticipation and accurate passes. The Stuff Up Shirt goes to Taxi for a couple of rare blemishes. The Marquee deserves a mention with a reasona-ble display of bench warmer and because he didn’t make a mistake all game. Remember there is no “I” in “Team” Thanks for Kelli braving the elements to come and support us this week. Next week (Round 34) we play Kellyville Black on Saturday 30th April 2016 at the Theatre of Dreams (Binalong Park No. 3) with the Kick Off at 3.00 pm.
