Transcript of Editing Sound Effects and Music
Then, I listened to a variety of different sounds to establish which sounds were best – most realistic
and fitted best for the action in film
Firstly, I selected the sound effects drop-
down menu and then the Final Cute Pro Sound Effects list
Once I was happy with one of the sounds, I select and dragged it into the opening of
the thriller
The sound effect was too long to fit the whole thing
into the opening and so I had to cut it down
Eventually I was content with the length of the sound effect
and placed it in the film where I thought it best fitted
with the action
Here we have an unsettling clip of our antagonist staring down into the camera lens. For this, we decided to add the sound of a drone whine which we found in Final Cut Pro Sound Effects. This helped to create a tense and dark enigmatic atmosphere that is conventional of most psychological thrillers.
For this scene, the protagonist is in a busy coffee shop, recalling the events of her trauma. For this, we added the sounds of crowd walla to establish the setting as a busy highstreet coffee shop
