The class was told we we’re starting on a new unit which was to create our own film trailer the genre was going to thriller but before doing so I would have to do some per-production researching allowing me to understand the conventions of a thriller film trailer.

And as well as that I didn’t know how to use the adobe premiere elements 9 so in order to understand to use or work this adobe I would have to do some research on it so I went always and watch verity of Youtube clips explaining how the to get me started.

Due to it being my first time using the adobe primer element i was told to play around with it first so i could learn and understand how to use it also to help me out i watched a video clip from YouTube explaining what and how to use it which helped alot so whenever i got lost i would look back on the video to help me.

To get started i would have to upload the video clip my group had shoot and then saved on our own hard-drives put into a folder.

To upload the video clips i would have to go on get media as shown on the screen shot above after that it came up the link shown on the left saved in the folder named xxx.

I then opened the folder showing all my clip which i then selected whichever one i want to use in my trailer.

This screen shot shows the clips that I upload in order to keep it organized I created a folder labelled due to where we shot the clip.

For example labelled a folder called running scene which is simply just all the shots of the character running and being followed all into that folder and I did this to every other clip.

I then selected what ever clip I liked to begin the trailer to do I click on a clip watch and if there was anything I didn’t like I would put into unwanted folder or if the clip needed editing I would crop what I didn’t want in the trailer, as you

can see the screen shot shows me cropping the clip this was because I had shot this scene at home but you could hear my mum in the background so I cropped unto right before you could hear here.

In this screen shot shows my own production company that i was given the task to create in order to allow the audience to identify my production company that filmed the other side name of my thriller film trailer.

I looked for an image that you can see as the logo then designed a creative name to go with it under-deck production this was because i believed it would relate to the image.

In my research of thriller film trailer i used the conventions so i could create a realistic trailer by putting in a production company at the beginning of the trailer allow the audience to identify my company.

From my research of thriller film trailers I found out that every trailer began with a normal equilibrium so I selected the establishing 180 rule shot to set the scene and while this clip is being shown the audience can hear one of the characters talking on the phone this is a use of L-cup which is one of the conventions every thriller film trailer.

In my research of thriller film trailers most of them have a narrator explaining the narrative of the film but however others use interties which i decided to do in my trailer this is so the audience understand what’s happening so far in the trailer.

As you can see in these two shots above are two of many interties i used this because i felt that it was a better way to tell the audience the narrative and didn't want to use a narrator.

When making the trailer i had some problems that needed fixing for example in these screen shots you can see in the zoomed in screen shot that if i was to add in something new like clip or intertidal the green line would turn red.

However in order to over come this i used have to render by pressing inter giving me the loading progressing as you can see in the above screen shot.
