I followed a tutorial that I found during my research and planning. I made the picture blurry.

BeforeI added this layer in so I could sharpen the image even further with the texture layer on top.

After the image had been sharpened

BeforeI zoomed right in so I could clearly see the areas that needed touching up.

AfterI also started to smooth the face out starting on the nose

Adding in the blurr

Softened all of the face, final image
