Crosstab #1
99% of participants use social media regularly, where 1% do not. Of the 99% of participants that do use social media regularly, 78% are more likely to attend an event after seeing it advertised on social media. Therefore advertising on social media does encourage participants to attend events.
Based on these findings, School of Health and Kinesiology would build up social media accounts, that follows Georgia Southern students as well as popular GSU based accounts. Events put on by the department will be promoted through these social media accounts.

Crosstab #2
5% of participants know of the events that the Department of Health and Kinesiology offer, where 95% of participants are not aware. Of the 5% that are aware of the events the department offers, how they hear about the event has no influence on their knowledge of the events.
Based on these findings, the department would promote events on all areas of campus, Russell Union, Rotunda, Dining Commons, and the RAC. The department would hang flyers on public bulletin boards, and in areas with a lot of foot traffic. The flyers would be eye catching and creative so that students are more likely to read them.

Crosstab #398% of respondents who have some
degree of agreeance, that faculty do not do enough in class to spread the word of on campus events, think that faculty ALSO do not have enough involvement in campus recreation.
Based on these findings, the department will work to speak with professors within and outside of the Health and Kinesiology Department to promote its events briefly during class time. The
department should also encourage professors to become more aware of on campus events and
recreation. Some professors are also active on social media, these accounts could be helpful.

Crosstab #4Of the 41% of students who are not
motivated to participate in events that are held on campus, participants say that they would be motivated to attend by the following reasons: 49% said an incentive, 26% said getting in shape, 69% said grade requirements, 26% said peers, 6% said other and specified. Based on these findings, since most participants were motivated by grades, the department
would work withprofessors to offer extra credit for the events it holds. Rewards or prizes could be given
tostudents with events that involve physical activity. Social media accounts and fliers
would promotethese incentives. Even students who said they weren’t motivated, had reasons that
they WOULD attend events.
