Jim:
I got an email from George that his new AutoPilot is going to be late and not going to be
able to make a debut on SNBC. He was curious to know what he could do on WatchGeeks
since there was such interest in the watch. What can we tell him that he can do? He would
like to be able to offer it to WatchGeek members at a discount. Can we allow him to post
this up in the NFW forum without it causing issues with Eyal?

It would cause issues.

Renato, a forum watch and being exclusive to SNBC
Jim...if the info in this thread is true....and it looks like it is....why can't we do a forum
watch in 2009 then? Obviously other avenues are being opened up by Renato....

I'm researching this now.
Could be a backdoor for Shop, or an authorized overstock sale that my buyers approved.

Re: Ok, looks like Invicta is our official sponsor
Fundamentally, I don't have a problem with that as it looks as though Eyal is being
reasonable...
As to the contract...there isn't one....it is all done online and via my credit card...I don't
have anything to send them. And after looking at the website, I don't see any options for
that. Is that going to be a problem?

Just figure out a way that invicta can pay it directly for us. It's the only way that thier
business accounting can write it off.

Re: Ok, looks like Invicta is our official sponsor
Well crap....I am going to have to look into that a bit more as I don't have any idea how to
make that happen. I had assumed that they would pay me and I would pay it. I can always
provide them with the receipt for it if they are concerned about the money getting to the
point of paying for the server.
Here is one concern I have...
Is Eyal going to draw the line some place as far as what he is considering his ROI with us is?
In case that is not making sense...he is providing a watch a month for WGOM and a watch at
the end of the year for HSOW. Plus we are doing giveaways...so, between now and the end
of the two years, we are looking at an absolute minimum of 30 watches for just those two
contests and no other giveaways. Is there going to be an issue at some point? Or, if he
decides he does not want to continue supporting these contests at some point, is he going to
have a problem with us going to Renato or one of the other vendors?

Re: Ok, looks like Invicta is our official sponsor
First of all, I am almost relieved that Eyal has agreed to the deal. With his acceptance of the
Renato sub-forum, he seems to be a lot more reasonable than I expected. The raffle would
have been a little tacky no matter how we handled it.
GOOD WORK JIM!!!
As to Michael's questions, well...they are GOOD ONES!
Is Eyal going to be willing to continue the watch give-a-ways along with the funding? As far
as arranging direct payment to the Host, I am sure they can work something out.
I am free tonight so call if you like.
Bruce

I am on-air tonight, and napping pre-show.
This added sponsorship has nothing to do with the contests or give aways. They continue,
this is just added sponsorship on his part.
He is not looking for any ROI, he considers the marketing that he gets as his return.

If we're in agreement on this, then let me know so I can draft up a global announcement to
be posted when the transaction is finalized.

I don't have any issues with what Eyal has said.
What are we looking to put out with the global announcement?

Just that we moved to a dedicated server, server costs thousands per year for our specific
requirements to avoid crashes, invicta offered to sponsor the forum... so now invicta
OFFICIALLY is our sponsor in order to keep the site free for all members. We dont want to
take donations, or make memberships, so invicta helps us keep it free... yada yada.

Go ahead and Post Jim. I have no problems with the deal as outlined so far.
You can deal with Ovi when he starts up about why we didn't offer Renato the deal.
Personally, I am a lot more comfortable with Eyal in this position.

PERCEPTIONS
Gentlemen:
Our friend "Magster" Posted this in the "Inside Look" Global I Posted about my Florida trip.
What troubles me is the reference that Invicta sponsors this Forum. Especially as we start to
broaden the "footprint" of the site and generate increased activity in the other "Shop"
vendors and non-shop watch lines.
Ideas?
Bruce

Although I'm sure it was fun for you, it was still something that took planning and lots of
time. Both that you give up freely. Thank you for all your "work" here!
It has been really nice to see Wing posting here. And, Maureen is right on top of all the
Renato related threads.
Even though Invicta does not interact as often as Wing and Maureen, they do sponsor this
forum, so kudos to Invicta too!

forum costs...
OK...I keep saying I am going to get this to you guys and I don't...
The total cost on the forum comes to $750. This covers the domain name registration,
server/bandwidth costs, chat room cost (including the add ones) as well as some of the
additional consulting fees that I have paid to the developer of the portal software.
My address is:
3100 River Exchange Driver #425
Norcross, GA 30092
Bruce...if you would like (and I am really just trying to make this easier for you because you
are my bro and all!), you can just send me the diamond WB you posted for sale and we will
call it even....OK?

"That Forum", what gives?
I am watching the DVR of last night's Philip show and I heard Shawn refer to our forum as
"That Forum". I know I have been gone for a few days, but did ShopNBC change their
position on talking about WatchGeeks on the air? I heard him refer to Christine (Slylcy) and
Joey in this matter.
Just curious!!!!!

Re: "That Forum", what gives?
Shawn got pissed off about comments made about him in that thread not too long ago about
how he was mean to Jill...I doubt he will be around much any more.

When Jim, Michael and I established this Forum we were unanimous in our decision to
NEVER charge for Membership or establish any kind of paid-for VIP section. We DO NOT
accept advertising and have maintained our identity as a totally no-cost community for
watch-lovers.
Our close ties with SNBC and their vendors is purely directed by the Members and of course,
Mr. Skelton.
Any charity drives undertaken can be cleared with the Owners and established as a separate
Thread. As far as paid-membership goes, it just isn't in the cards as far as the ownership is
concerned.
