WHAT IS NEEDED

1. Pupils must be appropriately dressed for the weather prediction.

2. Take enough clothing (visible & invisible) for 3 days.

3. Take food for breakfast.4. Take about £20.00 -50.00 for lunch on

Saturday and for gifts

1. BEHAVIOUR RULES ON THE COACHa. Pupils will have their seat belts on prior to coach

movement and throughout the journey and this will be monitored by staff at all times.

b. No pupil will stand in the coach during motion.c. Pupils will not throw any item in the coach eg

sweets, wraps etcd. No chewing gums in the coach.e. No use of drugs or smoking of cigarette on the

coach.f. Pupils will tidy up the coach prior to disembarking

at each point.g. No loud music in the bus as pupils will have to use

earphones.

AT HOSTEL

1. VENUE: SMART CITY HOSTEL, 50 BLACKFRIAREDINBURGH.2. MALES WILL BE IN A ROOM AND FEMALES LIKEWISE.3. MALE TEACHERS WILL CHECK ON MALES ROOMS AND FEMALE TEACHERS LIKEWISE.

1. RULES & EXPECTATIONS AT THE HOSTELa. There must no graffiti in the hostel room walls.b. No vandalising of the hostel property as rooms will be

inspected by team captains and staff at regular intervals.c. Pupils must respect their colleagues while in the hostel

rooms.d. No loud music in the rooms except the use of earphones.e. No pupil will be allowed to leave the hostel without

permission of staff member except to use the toilets.f. Staff will check to make sure all pupils are in bed after the

evening activity and staff will check all hostel rooms by midnight and in the mornings.

g. No smoking of cigarettes or the use of any form of drugs is allowed in the hostel room.

h. No self- medication except through the official first aider.

NB: PUPILS WILL EARN MERITS/A LEAGUE POINTS AS REWARD.

• PUPILS MOVE IN GROUPS OF ATLEAST 2.• NO PUPIL MUST WANDER OFF OR MOVE OUT

OF THE AREA WITHOUT PERMISSION.• PUPILS MUST NOT BUY OR USE ALCOHOL OR

CIGARRETES AS SCHOOL SANCTIONS WILL APPLY.

• PUPILS MUST ARRIVE AT MEETING POINT AT ESTIMATED TIME FOR HEAD COUNT AND JOURNEY BACK TO HOSTEL.

• PUPILS TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR VALUABLES SUCH AS JEWELLERY, ELECTRONIC GADGETS.

• PUPILS CAN GIVE ITEMS FOR SAFE KEEPING BY A MEMBER OF STAFF WHERE THEY ARE NOT SURE OF SAFETY.
