Jodi Sta. Mariajoins DamosaLand family

DAMOSA Land is proud to welcome to its

growing family, ABS-CBN Star Magic talent, Jodi Sta. Maria, as its new brand ambassa-dor.

The homegrown real estate developer sees Jodi, who cur-rently plays the role of Amor Powers in the Kapamilya teleser-ye Pangako Sa ’Yo, as someone who em-bodies what Damosa Land stands for. Jodi is everyone’s aspiration-al character, one that can very well repre-sent Seawind, Damosa Land’s latest project, a multi building condo development in Sasa, Davao City. The proj-ect seeks to target the young professionals, newly married cou-ples, and those who aspire to move to a bet-ter place in an urban setting.

“I’m excited to work with Damosa Land be-cause they have pro-gressive designs. They (Damosa Land) are mindful of the envi-ronment and the com-munity, and they are truly Davao at heart,” Jodi expressed her thoughts about work-ing with Damosa Land.

“Davao is a very peaceful city, vibrant, and progressive. What I like about the peo-ple (in Davao) is that they are very friendly, warm, hospitable and very disciplined,” Jodi concluded.

Jodi will grace the Grand Launch of Sea-wind tonight at the Da-mosa Car Park. World-class Filipino perform-ers such as the shadow play group, El Gamma Penumbra, and the Davao talents who re-cently won the World Championship of Per-forming Arts (WCOPA) will also join this big event.

“I believe Jodi cov-ers a wide market, from the middle-in-come to class A and B markets. Seawind is a condominium that is more affordable than others, but does not sacrifice on quality,” said Cary Floirendo Lagdameo, Vice Pres-

ident of Damosa Land Residential.

Seawind will in-clude six buildings, three of which will have seven stories while the other three will have eight.

Only a quarter of the property will be developed, dedicating the rest of the area for road networks and amenities such as club-house and open spaces for leisurely activities. Situated in Sasa, Davao City, this first venture of Damosa Land into vertical developments will have an unob-structed view of the Davao Gulf and Samal Island.

The buildings are strategically designed to maximize airflow as well as sunlight to min-imize the use of lights in the hallway, thus re-ducing electricity con-sumption. The design, likewise, allows for 8 to 10 units for each wing in every level to main-tain a level of privacy for the residents.

Seawind is only one of the new and exciting projects that Damosa Land will be launching in Davao City and in the region this year. Be-tween the 4th quarter of 2015 and 1st quarter of 2016, Damosa Land will also be launching a major project in Pana-bo City. This 88 hectare property is envisioned to be a mixed use de-velopment with the UP Los Baños agricultural school as one of its an-chor locators.

Damosa Land’s on-site sales center and showroom for Seawind at Damosa Complex is open daily at 8am to 9pm for clients to view the model units and engage with Damosa Land’s sales profes-sionals. They can be reached at 234-2888 or you can visit their website at www.damo-saland.com.

Damosa Land is the real estate and proper-ty development com-pany of the Anflocor Group – the company that is responsible for developing business and lifestyle-oriented commercial center, Da-mosa District.

WHEN Damosa Land Inc. (DLI) decid-ed to venture into

condominium development in Seawind, the company is not only building your ordi-nary residential project. It is putting up a complete com-munity.

For Seawind is a mixed-use development to rise on a 2.7-hectare lot in Barangay Sasa that is envisioned to be-come a complete community since, aside from residential,

it also boasts of a commer-cial component that will give homeowners access to es-tablishments for their daily requirements.

“It’s very conducive for families. We’re putting up a brand new commercial strip in front of the development,” says DLI vice president-res-idential Ricardo “Cary” Floirendo Lagdameo said during the blessing of the Seawind’s customer lounge and showroom at the Damo-

sa Market Basket very recent-ly.

Just in front of the six-building residential area is the two-storey commercial complex of Seawind. Aside from this, there will also be open space and a swimming pool.

Other amenities include a basketball court, clubhouse and parking spaces as the developer promised to come up with a spacious develop-ment in the area, complete

also with ponds for the home-owners to spend their leisure time. Only 27 percent of the total 2.7 area will be devel-oped for residential area.

DLI is investing over P2 billion for Seawind, the firm’s first condominium proj-ect after the success of the 7-7-hectare Damosa Fairlane.

Lagdameo said construc-tion of the project will go full swing as soon as they acquire the building permits. Charles Raymond A. Maxey

Rody thanks Floirendosfor real estate venture

THE booming real estate in-dustry has greatly contrib-uted to the economic devel-

opment of Davao City, and Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte has expressed his gratitude to developers like the Floirendos for their contribu-tion to this growth.

“They are investing and I’m happy for them,” Duterte said in

an interview Thursday afternoon at the

recent investment in real estate, Duterte said, is an indication there is big market in the city.

“This means that the lives of the people are also improving because many people buy prop-erties,” Duterte said.

Damosa Land Inc. recently opened its showroom and cus-tomer lounge for Seawind, the company’s first condominium development set to rise on a 2.7-hectare lot in Barangay Sasa.

The company is investing over P2 billion for Seawind, a mixed-use development that is envisioned to become a complete community and to transform Sasa into a new growth area in Davao.

The project, aside from the residential, also boasts of a com-mercial component. The residen-tial is composed of six buildings while the commercial complex is a two-storey structure.

Duterte said aside from Davao residents, there are also people outside of city who are buying property here.

The real estate business pro-vides jobs to people especially on the skilled workers related to construction, according to the mayor.

Proof of booming economy“Seawind is another vali-

dation that Davao’s economy is booming, as migrants, inves-tors, tourists, and even return-ing overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are flocking to the city to invest in and experience the fun and frolic that the place has to offer, or make Davao their new home,” enthused Domingo Ang, proprietor of Marina Tuna and chairman of the PhilExporters Confedera-tion-Davao.

“What remains now is for us to see to it that we have inclusive growth and foreign direct investment will keep on coming to sustain the boom,” Doming said.

“I believe that one way of attracting more capital from outside, specially FDI, is to make Sasa Port, Davao City’s longtime gem in shipping, a world-class facility compara-ble to Singapore, so that we can make it an international transshipment hub,” he added.

Doming, whose family pioneered the country’s tuna industry, argued that this is do-able as the city is in the heart of the Pacific area and its port is within the secured waters of Davao Gulf .

“On top of this, we must offer competitive labor wages and maintain a stable indus-trial peace, which are ideal in-gredients that can easily make us the next Singapore or Shen-zhen in this part of the world,” he added.

Fairlane track record “Although a new player

in the industry, the Floirendo Group’s Fairlane residential development in Barangay Angliongto is proof that they could compete well not only in the low to medium cost, but also in high value residential sector,” commented architect Daniel T. Lim, past president and current executive vice president of the Davao City Chamber of Commerce who manages his own architectural and construction company.

Lim opined that the Seaw-ind project will be a gem that will push up the company to be one of the trusted brands and inspire other homegrown in-vestors to develop quality and highly reliable condo projects.

Land for embarking on anoth-er game-changing property development project, which makes us remember with pride the pioneering spirit of the late Don Antonio Floiren-do, founding patriarch of Anflo Group of Companies, parent company of Damosa Land, Tadeco and the Davao Motor Sales Company which put Min-danao on wheels. We thank Don Antonio and his worthy inheritors for this project, in a way continuing the saga of Davao as a premiere city of Southern Philippines,” said DC-CCII President Antonio T. Dela Cruz, a re-tired banker, active coop-erative leader, and entrepre-neur.

“ O n c e up reaching for the sky, Seawind will be another impressive landmark of Davao City, truly a wel-come devel-opment in the

THE significance of today’s launch of Seawind Condominium in Sasa, within the Buhangin District in Davao City cannot be gainsaid.

No wonder business leaders, local government officials, and keen observers of the contemporary scene tend to rhapsodize the event, even equating it with portents of better times to come.

city’s burgeoning commerce and industry,” according to Dr. Pilar C. Braga, educator and former Davao City councilor. “Once again, we salute the Floirendos for this added mag-

nificent milestone,” she said.

Proof of livability“This condominium

project is not only changing the landscape and skyline of Davao City, it is another proof of Davao’s glorious honor as one of the world’s 10 safest places to live,” said Serafin C. Ledesma Jr., businessman and direc-tor of the Davao City Water District.

“Seawind, a project of Damosa Land of Anflo-cor, adds another proof of Davao’s ascend as an invest-

ment haven, where investors confidence in how the city government managers run the city’s affairs and deliver the city’s vital public services,” Ledesma said.

Ivan C. Cortez, chief of the Davao City Investment Promotion Center (DCIPC), has this to say: “It is always welcome news to hear about homegrown companies such as Damosa Land continually exploring new territories and succeed in the process. To see Damosa Land venture into the growing condo sector in Davao speaks volumes about

the ripeness of the Market. We see all other strong factors that make Davao a viable investment location. Most importantly, we find fulfilment in our work at the investment promotion center every time we can showcase to the world the impressive projects of our homegrown companies. I look forward to the completion of Seaw-ind in the near future. Congratula-tions Damosa Land, and here’s wish-ing you more successful ventures in the future.”

Seawind is a project with a resi-dential and commercial component and is composed of six buildings. The first three buildings will have 165 units each while the next three will have 192 units apiece. The turnover of the first building will be in Decem-ber of 2016.

During the blessing of the show-room and customer lounge very recently, Lagdameo was happy to announce that the first two towers of the mixed-use development have been sold out.

Damosa Land is now in the pro-cess of acquiring buildings permits, and Lagdameo said they hope to start the vertical works in the next few months.

“We’ve already started the land preparation, but right now we’re in the process of obtaining our building permits,” says Lagdameo. “So once we get them, we’ll start building the first tower immediately.”

The location of Seawind is very ideal. It is just near the major com-mercial and business developments and the Davao International Airport. The place just also a walking distance from the Samal Island ferry.

“The property is elevated from the highway, to have a clear view of the Samal Island. Plus the way we de-velop, or the way we’re planning for the whole project. It will have open space and size of the pool very gener-

ous,” Lagdameo said.“It’s very conducive for families,”

he added of Seawind, whose ameni-ties include a basketball court and a clubhouse.

Seawind will have three kinds of units, with 90 percent of the project devoted to a two-bedroom unit that has a living space of 36.88 square meters and to be sold initially at P1.6 million.

Five percent will be three-bed-room units at 72 square meters and sold roughly at P3 million and the remaining portion will have two lev-el units with 67 to 68 square meters each level with a floor area of 37.12 square meters.

DLI will also construct a new commercial strip in front of the de-velopment. The commercial com-plex will house fast food restaurants, a convenience store and function rooms.

Lagdameo said being home-grown is always an advantage.

“But, there’s always the flip side to that,” he quickly adds. “You always have to constantly deliver an excel-lent product, and if you don’t hit that then people will start comparing you with other developers.”

In Seawind, Damosa Land Inc. is building one excellent project that will change the landscape in Sasa and transform the place into the next growth area in Davao City.
