About EDC
Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) is dedicated to encourage, promote and facilitate
entrepreneurial activities among B.Tech and MBA students. The Entrepreneurship Development Cell
at Andhra Loyola institute of Engineering Technology , Vijayawada targets to help in the
development of India’s Entrepreneurial ecosystem by enabling easy and efficient interaction between
its major components students, working professionals, aspiring and existing entrepreneurs, mentors,
angel investors, venture capital firms and corporates through events like interactive sessions and
conferences.
Vision
To prepare the students to be successful entrepreneurs by acquiring the necessary skills, knowledge
and attitude to create manage and expand future enterprises.
Mission
The mission of EDC is to encourage college – level students to start their own enterprises. This, can
be done by the following
Organising Workshops and lectures periodically to create awareness about entrepreneurship.
Functioning as a guide for the students who have creative ideas and transform them into
successful entrepreneurs.
Providing mentoring through individuals for students to launch their start up’s.
EDC Activities
To motivate students to undergo Entrepreneurship development Programme (EDP), Skill
Development training and enhance self employment opportunities.
To organise Seminars/guest lectures/ Workshops/ industrial visits periodically to create
awareness about entrepreneurship.
To transfer the technical know-how and assist students in setting up entrepreneurs.
To organize programmes on financial assistance and source of institutional assistance to
entrepreneurs.
To find out the entrepreneurial potential of region in selected industries.
To publish newsletter quarterly which includes start up and entrepreneurship articles,
interviews with successful entrepreneurs.

The Department has inaugurated Entrepreneurship Development Cell on 21st July, 2016 with
the Cooperation of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Vijayawada under the supervision
of Mr.N.Janardhana Rao, Head of the Department-MBA, Shri.G.Venkateswararao, Chairman,
Vijayawada zone-CII was the chief guest,Dr.V.Naga Lakshmi,Joint Managing Director,
Indian Women Network,Mr.P.Ravi Kiran,Director and CFO,Ramesh Hospitals were the
Guest of Honour on the occasion.Shr.G.Venkateswara Rao enhanced the qualities and
requirements for an Entrepreneur.Dr.V.Naga Lakshmi gave an interactive talk on the purpose
of the cell in a comprehensive manner.Mr.P.Ravi Kiran spoke on various legal formalities
meant for a business entity. This programme was précised over by Rev.Fr.Dr.A.Francis
Xavier SJ, Director, Rev.Fr.M.L.Thomas SJ, Asst.Director and Dr.O.Mahesh, Principal.
An informative session on “JOURNEY FROM CAMPUS TO CORPORATE FOLLOWED
BY INAUGURATION OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CELL”
With the support of Management of ALIET, a workshop on ENTREPRENEURSHIP
ORIENTATION PROGRAMME was conducted on 14th September, 2016 with the
cooperation of National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC-A Govt. of India
Enterprise).Shri.G.Sudharshan from NSIC extentially covered the aspects of
Entrepreneurship.

India in association with ni-msme, Hyderabad conducted at Andhra Loyola Institute of

Programme (TEDP) on Leather Technology sponsored by Department of Science and
Technology, Government of India in association with ni-msme, Hyderabad conducted at
Andhra Loyola Institute of Engineering & Technology, Vijayawada from 30thOctober 2017 to
9th December 2017.
A guest lecture was organized on “Problems and Challenges of Entrepreneurship” on 14th
September 2017. Mr.Tobby George, Media Consultant, The Hindu, Vijayawada was the
Guest Speaker.
One day seminar was organised on “Innovation – Entrepreneurship (Smart Idea2)” on 30th
December, 2017. Mr. Sangram Satpathy, Programme Coordinator from Andhra Pradesh State
Skills Development Corporation was the guest speaker. Event was conducted in association
with Entrepreneurship Development, (i2E), in partnership with North Eastern University,
Boston, USA.
On 13th December, 2017 on behalf of EDCCell & MBA Dept. A One Day workshop on
“Intellectual Property Rights – Issues & Problems” was organized Guest Speaker is Dr. A.
AryaSri, Professor CBIT, Hyderabad.
On 24th July 2017-19th August 2017 Three days Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp was
conducted in association with NSTEDB,EDII, A.P. Productivity Council, Hyderabad.
Mr. N. JanardhanaRao, Associate Professor received a DST – NIMAT Project 2018 -
19 worth Rs.80,000/- from Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India,
Ahmedabad under the aegis of National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship
Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science and Technology,
Government of India, New Delhi for conducting Entrepreneurship Awareness Cam
(EAC) among science and technology graduates.
