ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CLUB (ED CLUB)

2. Smt. Ashly Mereena Mathew, Assistant Professor Department of Commerce.

1. Inauguration:

In this academic year activities of ED club were started on 19th September 2018. The

club was inaugurated by Sri. P Rajiv, Manager, District Industries Centre Kottayam. The

meeting was presided by Dr. Girish Kumar G.S, Principal Henry Baker College. Keynote

address was delivered by Sri Dileep Johnson, Manager, State Bank of India. Sri.Anuragh S

Pandikattu, Gramapanchayath Member gave the felicitation speech at the end of ceremony.

2. Industrial Awareness Programme

ED Club organized an Industrial Awareness Programme for SHG members on 19thSeptember

2018 . Sri Sabu Abraham, Auditor Kahadi and Village Industries board handled the session.

Students as well as the members of SHG got an opportunity to know about the schemes of

KVIB.

3. Interaction with Successful Entrepreneur

On 19th September 2018, ED club arranged an interaction with Sri.GinoPulikken an

outperforming entrepreneur and alumni of this college for the students.

4. Industrial visit and LED bulb training

On 23rd January 2019, ED Club organized an Industrial visit to Kanjirappally for students

visited the training unit of Yamaha, Royal Enfield held at Amal Jyothi Engineering College

Kanjirappally.

In association with the Electronic Department of Amal Jyothi Engineering College,

Kanjirapally selected members of ED club were given effective training for manufacturing

LED bulb

5. Cloth painting and tie Die making

ED club organized a training programme for selected 24 girl students from the college for

learning Cloth painting and Tie Die making on 25 January 2019.

6 KIED WORKSHOP

Six students from our College participated in the workshop on ‘w-PEC’ conducted by KIED

centre, Kalamasery. It was a four-day residential programme for the members and

coordinators of ED club from 9 August 2018 to 12 August 2018.
