What is validation

• Verification that the assessed LO correspond to the foreseen LO

• It can mean– Award of pass/fail– Award of a grade– Discussion with the

learner about what has been achieved and what remains to be achieved

performance of learner– Written description of

results assessment– Evidence that

assessment took place in line with agreed proces (quality assurance)
