A little about ECS…Old fashioned common sense meets new energy efficient
technology
ECS is a team dedicated to improving our planet through advanced energy technology
Our background includes over 15 years operating as Quantum Magnetic Systems
Our passion and expertise will go far beyond physical water treatment, and will embrace additional fluid treatments in gasoline, diesel and crude oil fields.
2
About traditional cooling towers…
3
Traditional cooling water treatment programs use
chemicals to “control” the problems associated
with cooling operations
The Time has come for every commercial and industrial facility to replace chemical treatment with
physical water treatment
Safe water=Safe planet
4
Why Now?
HydroPlex™Water Treatment System
5
Why Hydroplex™ for the State of Ohio?
Water and Energy efficient Preserves valuable water resources Chemical free Green Technology Made in the USA Improves Worker Safety Cost effective, unprecedented savings
6
Benefits: Employee & Public Safety
Eliminates the discharge of toxic and polluting chemicals.
Eliminates compliance issues associated with handling toxic chemicals.
Controls algae, bacteria, and viruses.
Provides maximum protection and due diligence against Legionella, E. coli, and Listeria
8
Benefits: Reduced Operating Costs
Improved Efficiency
Equipment Life Extended
Decreased Utility Costs -Electricity, Water, Sewage
Avoided Labor and Material Costs Overages Direct Cost of Chemicals Chemical Storage and Handling Chemical Application/Treatment Program
Reduced Maintenance Improved worker safety
9
Benefits: Water & Energy Efficient Conserves Energy
Prevention of scale and biofilm build-up reduce electricity required for cooling tower pumping and heat transfer.
Conserves Water Less make-up water is required which significantly reduces water
consumption.
Reclaimed water is chemical-free and can be reused for efficient irrigation.

Approved Technology
Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) Water Efficiency Best Management Practice #10 – Cooling Tower Management – recommends side stream filtration and non-chemical water treatment as retrofit options.
Magnetic technology for controlling scale and improving water and energy efficiency was proven and introduced into the federal sector in 1998 through the FEMP new technology demonstration program.
Our technology recommended by this report

Federal Mandate
Improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions through reduction of energy intensity by 3% annually through the end of the FY 2015, or 30% by the end of FY 2015 relative to the baseline of the agency’s energy use in FY 2003.
Beginning in FY 2008, reduce water consumption intensity, relative to the baseline of the agency's water consumption in FY 2007, through life-cycle cost-effective measures by 2% annually through the end of FY 2015 or 16 percent by the end of FY 2015.
Ensure that the agency reduces the quantity of toxic and hazardous chemicals and materials acquired, used, or disposed of by the agency.
12
Executive Order 13423 of January 24, 2007 directs that the head of each agency shall:
Award Winning Application
Award Category: Environmental InnovationProduct: ECS BoilerPlex
13
White House “Closing the Circle Award” presented to the US Post Office of Columbus, Ohio for magnetic water
treatment of boilers, contributing to “Greening the Government” and achievements in Federal Waste
Prevention, Recycling and Affirmative Procurement.
Energy Tax Incentives
The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 provides federal tax incentives that may apply:
Deduction of the Cost of Energy-Efficient Property Installed in Commercial Buildings
14
LEED

How Much Can You Save?
The HydroPlex™ pays for itself through the cost savings generated in one to three years of operation.
On average, cooling tower operating costs are reduced by 20%, and maintenance costs are reduced by at least 50% annually
17
How Much Can you Save?
Depends on: the size of your cooling towersThe average hours per dayDays of operationThe amount of water used by your systemHow efficient your current operation isProjected water, electricity, sewer, and labor ratesCost of chemicals
18
Additional Cost Savings…
Additional savings may be available through
a. Reclaimed water reuseb. Utility incentives and rebatesc. Tax deductions
19
How Much Will it Cost?
Units cost configured to equipment sizeCustomized Financing and Service Options allow for Little
or NO Capital investmentPurchaseLeaseManagement, Service, and Maintenance available
