South America Geography

The settlers of Brazil were in an environment that was tropical and plentiful in sugar canes and brazil wood.

Because of the vegetation and location, they prospered through their trading routes of unique goods that other countries didn’t have.

Also it was across the ocean from Africa, which is why there were so many African slaves that were forced help the Spanish in their money making.

North American Geography

The Europeans expected the New World to be as good to them as Mexico and South America were to other Europeans.

Although they found that it was cold and was covered in rivers and mountains, they were able to make money off of fur, cotton and other goods shown to them by the Natives.

It was also a place where African slaves were bought and sold in the expansion of their businesses.
