DiscussionA2-B2

Beginners to be able to talk about general topics.

Visual aids: cards.

The fact of talking among 3 lowers the impact of talking to larger groups.

How to develope the session:

1. Each student gets a bunch of cards: A/ B/ C

2. Explain text.

3. They can use the cards to have a cohesive speech.

• Take it as a contest, the winner is the first one getting rid of their cards.

• Vocabulary should be distributed.

Rumors: B2/C1

• It’s all about imagination.

• They need to bring up rumors about given characters or fictional facts.

1. One card per student so that they can hold dialogues in pairs within their group:

¿ Sabes una cosa?

¿ Me han dicho que….?

2. After that, we share the comments and how they ended up. We can ask them questions in relation to the concepts we need to tackle.

Being practical

If you do it regularly do use smarties.

If you do it from time to time do bring cookies to class to make it special. Different approaches:

One student takes a cookie and the lesson takes place… One student takes a cookie. Homework based on color code.
